Fair point though, they almost have 8 million sales of World. They probably don't need Nintendo anymore to sell MH, but they want more anyway, thank goodness.

UltimaKeyMaster MHW had way more investment in marketing and development than any other nintendo exclusive MH, even if they sell more copies, it's still not as profitable to capcom, also I REALLY DOUBT they can release a new MH every 1-2 years and still get the attention and sales like they did with the nintendo series... i think maybe switch will get an exclusive MH at some point (besides this one) its way more profitable and the switch is just the perfect console for monster hunter series

Generations came out in the states for 3DS. I think you're thinking of double-cross which is still Japan only.

Daju monster hunter was a nintendo exclusice for a bit so this is just what should've been available a launch finally being made available because capcom didn't want the monsterhunters to compete.

I played the demo as well, and about my only confusion was trying to identify what my particular Hunter Arts were. It probably helped that I played the original MH Generations demo back when it came out....

You are in for a treat. XX is much more challenging with a lot more content than what World is offering. The framework of MHW is ok for me, but for a veteran, it is a little too easy to cut through all the content and get best gear.

You know, after beating the game, and coming back to the video that got me excited for it, it brings a tear to my eye. Despite hair-ripping frustration some moments gave me, there were some truly amazing ones as well. Fighting Shagaru in the sanctuary for the first time, bringing down Nakarkos, pushing back Lao, Valstrax, and the last phase of the final boss, where GU's Proof of A Hero began playing, the song I'd heard every time the game booted up. If there's one game that can get away with the menu music being the final boss's theme, it's this.

Looking back at this trailer from two years ago still wow me, though I do think it would be nice to see what the next MH entry for the Switch entails, even if it means we might have to wait until say 2021 to actually play it

I try this game just right after the release of the Rise Demo and before the launch of Rise, it's a different game than MHRise, I like both of them but this is my favorite MH games. I continue to play this with one friend and we hope we can finish this game together one day.

Tidal Yacht let's be honest portablilty combined with a console is far more valuable then just raw power loot boxes, and 4k that other consoles bring. Based on Capcom's ip information mhgen is Capcom's 6th most selling game. It stands out like pretty much every other Monster Hunter games. Combined the Switch's Hardware with this game and World seems to fall short at it's current state.

With how spoiled MHW players became, it's going to be hard transitioning back to the classic MH formula. EDIT: Some people seem to think my comment was saying I think MHW sucks or the older games suck, I'm not implying either one is bad, I like both. I'm just saying that the changes in MHW made a lot of things easier than they were before so some players used to MHW, such as myself, aren't going to be able to go back to the old gameplay so easily.

one thing i kinda hope for, is some way to have a second screen. the 3DS MH games did a great job utilizing the touchscreen for anything you really needed. i could use specific items and change ammo on the fly, use hunter arts with ease, i could even clean up the screen by moving the map down there.i almost hope they make a system you can use with your phone or some other device with a screen. this would help with all those wii u ports that are severely lacking do to the lack of the game pad

I love them for creating a console like the switch which gives me the opportunaty to play games like that on the go as well as on my big screen at home. Also Nintendo was always a big supporter of Monster Hunter in the West. Capcom wouldn't have released that much that much titels here in europe
