My first ever hammock camping and safe to say, I won't be hammocking again. I absolutely hated it. This camp was a disaster, but fun. It was below freezing with a very frosty morning! We were both using the Crua Hybrid.

My First Ever Hammock Camp... And I ABSOLUTELY HATED It!
Back out in the Devilla Forest and oh boy was this a wild one. Instead of using a tent, me and Cassie brought our Crua Hybrids and used them as a hammock! Dafty Duck here forgot an underblanket and temperatures were to be below freezing, so not a good start. Setting up was fine and a stroll, but sleeping in it? Nah. Sensory overload, super uncomfortable, far too difficult to get into, and one of the straps snapped, so I ended up sleeping on the ground without a bivvy. BUT what a performance from my Black Ice G700 sleeping bag and Light Tour sleeping pad, but dealt with the cold temperatures and convection brilliantly and I had a super warm sleep. I love spending time with Cassie and she did an amazing job dealing with my tantrums here... so I get her breakfast in the morning lol.
