Actually the arcade games have an infrared light that has a reflector and a sensor so if you break the light it triggers points. It isn't just shaking the basket, although I guess if you shake it HARD enough...

actuly when he hit the bottom of the basketball hoop it counted since its a lazer mechenism wich has a lazer wich has a recever wen you get it in the hoop it blocks the lazer from reaching the receaver and the reseaver thinks oh i didnt see it for a sec so it counts as a point so he hit the chain and it also blocked the lazer there explained
