2 роки томуThis was my last Morel hunt of the year. Southeast Oklahoma, April 21, 2022. This was a very productive trip. Hope you enjoy coming along with me as I find these delicious mushrooms.
(Disclaimer) Do not eat any wild mushrooms unless you are 100% sure that they are edible. Eating the wrong wild mushroom can be deadly.

the smaller the better. the first two you picked in the 2nd spot are ideal.

It's May 4the, had a freeze last week. 1 month behind our normal Morel season! Folks just starting to find really small greys here, around CR, Ia. 85 degree days, next week. Crazy weather! Take care, enjoy your shrooms!😁

I wish our Morels would get that big we got tiny ones even the blacks are small. But what you are getting are stuffing size. lucky you.

If you get more than you can use, is there a way to preserve the extras such as canning?

Yes. I batter them with flour and put them in freezer bags if I'm going to eat them in a few weeks. For longer storage I put them in freezer bags with water to keep them from freezer burn.

Batter them in flour and pan fry them in butter. They're delicious.

I just can't bring myself to eat mushrooms lol! I've went vegan and some mushrooms are meat substitutes... But living off the land!

I soak them in salt water overnight. Then I slice them in half, dip them in flour and pan fry them till crispy. Serve with mashed potatoes and a side of steak sauce.

Hello! To anyone who can help me - are those trees the video creator is finding them on Elms? I am in NE Ohio and find around 10 lbs each season, but I still cant identify an elm! I go for tulip poplars, black Cherrys, and sycamores.

Some are elm. But I also find them near oak , and under cedars as well. Not sure about Ohio but it's probably about the same. I even find them out in the field sometimes but not often. Thanks for watching 👍

I will say one thing, I bet you save alot of money by going out and picking your own mushrooms bet they are expensive in stores
