@@StopBlurryGames It could just be that they wanted the main character to have a design that stands out from the other people working in corporate, such as by giving him a white shirt and a different figure. It also seems like his body type is meant to reflect how unsatisfied and stuck in monotony he is, by having what should be strong shoulders and a torso sag down. The character could be trans, sure, but you're being weird about this.

I like seeing newer games like this on the switch. I love ports of their older, heavy-hitters just as much as anyone else (praying for a Metroid Prime trilogy), but they also gotta stay fresh.

I love how games have evolved to where they are more than merely action oriented thrillseeking or immersing yourself in a typical RPG fantasy story, but are able to explore some themes closer to home, and maybe even be therapeutic in the process.

Holy crap the symbolism of this game.... When the crowd moves away from you n there's a love sign in the back ground so relatable, how the cars just go around and around in circles to show that you aren't heading anywhere. All of this hits home, good job Nintendo this one is a must for me

Also the blatant color symbolism everyone is wearing black while he is wearing white so he stands out. The overall dark colors a bland world bit a cute simple yellow butterfly that's kind of like the sun- hopeful and pure a guiding light in otherwise dark and gloomy world. I know this comment is old but for anything this game seems amazing for its simplicity but complex symbolic themes. It's everything I love about a good symbolic poem but in game form right in front of you.

I work in a office and yes I do feel life is meaningless, we don't have a purpose but the one society dictates. Is a very depressing thought hence why I never dwell in it for too long.

An interesting game hopefully this would have social commentary on corporations and how depressing the adult life can be but hopefully this would explain about being in the moment and I hope it would touch on the concept of freewill.

should be called Monotone or Monochrome instead, as it fits the reality aspect of the game perfectly. But then the emancipation from that world wouldn't be taken into account, so perhaps *Polychrome Peek* would be better? because he takes a daring peek into what could be and breaks free from there :)

Nintendo needs more games like these where its clearly not for kids. This year I played Disco elysium and it was like a breath of fresh air, I heard it was going to be ported to the Switch so I hope they start thinking of the older market more because im pretty sure they havent reached to that audience like other platforms.
