The dad who carried his son for a triathlon is actually even more impressive than it is made to look here. They finished an Ironman. 2.5 mile swim 112 mile bike and then a marathon. Finishing that is a near impossible task under ordinary circumstances. What they did deserves to be legendary.

1:36 This one is double-important for sportsmanship because the Suzuki rider, Alex RIns, and the Ducati rider, Jack Miller, are absolutely the fiercest of opponents. During that season, they were neck and neck at almost every race, and would often engage is fair but pitched battles on the track. So the fact that Miller was the one to stop and give him a lift shows that while you can be savage on the track and fight your heart out, you're still a nice guy under it all.

In a world full of selfishness that promotes "being the best" and outdoing everyone else, it is so incredibly refreshing to see that there are people who are still human, who have hearts and _compassion._ It's becoming more and more rare these days, especially in competitive areas such as sports and dance (I grew up in both). Seeing these compilations helps me keep in mind that there are still people here and there who are willing to go against the grain and be kind, and who will love others more than themselves. So encouraging. :) I loved all of them, but the one with the four year old was beautiful. Children are so often blown off and brushed aside that it was beautiful seeing both teams go out if their way to make him one of them. The men who pretended they couldn't catch him and dove onto the grass without touching him-that little boy will remember that for a long time.

Our kid in that weight class was one of our best and was a little standoff ish, we weren’t sure if he’d be willing to throw it since he was pretty competitive. When us coaches brought it up to him, we were a little surprised when he agreed. Everyone was expecting him to flop on the ground and get it over with, but he gave the kid an entire 3 period match and had the kid work towards gaining a pin. I was so proud, when I asked him after why he did it he said he “wanted him to work hard to get the pin so it’d be more memorable.” I can teach kids moves, but honor is harder to learn at that age.
