In my experience 4 gigs of RAM is "good enough" for this phone and my use. So not a bad buy if all you're doing is shopping, texting, calling, and consuming media. I assume heavier games is where it would fall a bit short due solely to the lack of RAM. I had a galaxy note 10 and for some reason liked this moto so now I have a $450 motorola instead of a $1k note 10. And I wonder why I ever spent a fucking grand on a cell phone 😅🤣 (I do miss s pen functionality though and still use my note when I think I'll need to write)

I have this by Verizon but there are calling issues,caller doesn't hear my voice often

the moto edge has more ram and storage for about 50 dollars less, but the problem is its a crapshoot if you will get one with a bad screen, and I hate the wrap around side screen.

Had this phone for about 2 years now. Honest thoughts - excellent phone. Does everything it's supposed to do, and does it well. HOWEVER. Some things to think about. It's heavy. I've had a pretty darn heavy beast of a phone for 2 years. Tired of it. Also, it's long. It's a very odd ratio. In 2 years, I never got used to it. The cameras are ok - which is a big deal to me. We use cameras to capture moments of our life. I don't want noisy, blurry, fuzzy, pixelated pictures to be the only captured memories of my kids anymore. This phone was great for a season - but I'm ready to invest a bit more into the piece of technology I use every day of my life. Hopefully this helps!

They shoulda kept the biometrics Bs on the back. The finger print reader or whatever, the side button is a damn joke. A small rectangular sliver? What were they tryna do, create an eye scanner? A round finger print scanner makes more sense to me, and is so much more comfortable compared to having the phone in one hand and trying to wrap your e.t. finger around the other side for the Scanner. I mean look it's a good phone and I enjoy it, other than that The portrait mode is really nice. The macro, eh. It's good but not as amazing as the portrait mode pictures come out looking damn near professional in that mode. Anyways. This phone with the ole back scanner would be to sick.

I got this phone with Verizon know tramp stamp and so far its a great phone 4 gigs of ram is more than enough unless u a gamer. I dont use wireless charging anyway so no biggie. I take a lot of videos and the pix and videos are great. One thing about moto phones no reviewer ever mentions is you can talk and record at the same time on moto phones. know other phone as much as they cost over 1000 1500 1800 can record while you talking.

Just ordered the phone, I'm excited. I currently have a Moto Z4, I love my phone, but the screen fingerprint scanner drove me a little crazy at times, glad it's back on the side like the Moto Z3.

Why hate on budget phones nowadays right? 2016/2017 were the worse years for the budget phones like LG couldn’t compete look at them now they did so well on the specs to the point they had to shut down for 2020/2021 sale issues it’s crazy how phones have changed. I know from my first phone being the LG Aristo phone not too good for photos in low light and color accuracy sucked… Motorola and Samsung are doing amazing with the budget phones and their future budget phones. Huge displays, amazing features, fun to use, most importantly HUGE Battery Bigger than IPhones I only use an iPhone right now cause I got mine unlocked didn’t want any hiccups or so-called issues it’s very hard to transfer back 😅 no going back

Great review! I have to say that mid-tier/budget phones have come a long way in the last few years. They used to provide subpar performance and specs, but now many models like this one can more than capably handle all the average phone user will ask of them. I used to be a flagship snob, because the gulf between them and their lower priced counterparts was vast, but for my last upgrade I went with a Galaxy S20 FE, and I have been more than pleased with what it's given me for its lower price. I may very well consider Motorola for my next handset based on this excellent review!

Then yes I think you're wrong on that amount of RAM most cheap Androids have one or two gigabytes of RAM okay this thing has four that is great for Android now six that might be on like a super high end Android you know 700 dollars .. 4 gigs of RAM is pretty damn good for a mid-level Android unless you want to spend three four five six seven hundred bucks then you'll get one with a 6 GB of RAM
