He may as well have used school scotch tape. I wouldn’t even trust Gorilla Glue contractor grade tape, probably be a better idea to have used a PVC couplers or rubber tubing with flex clamps

You should have created carbs in the bottom of the coke bottles. Also, doing a fast poor with the coke caused it to fizz which means you lost a lot of the co2. This could have been way better but still cool.

Diet soda works better, can be fairly inconsistent but diet Sprite and Diet Coke tend to work the best. The lack of sugar decreases the surface tension, so the carbon dioxide bonding with the soda reaction is greater. TLDR: mentos gives the soda an additional surface to release the fizz, so it loses fizz faster. Diet soda works better because sugar gets in the way of the reaction.

1. unfair tests - if you are going to measure success of a reaction you need to make sure there are no other vairables, ie shaking the bottle before you open it, knocking the bottle over, not putting the same amount of mentos in at the same timing as the others (you used a stick of mentos then used the pinch and squeeze which missed some in one bottle). 2. If you put the mentos INTO the massive bottle of cola ALL the mento's surface area is effective rather than the ones that were at the top. AKA don't flip the cola into mentos, drop the mentos into the cola.

In Poland only rich ( or dumb ) people can afford just spitting the drinks on ground because of sugar tax that successfully turned all soft drinks into weekend only drinks. Price increase was like: Cash and carry - 37% Discount stores - 22% Hypermarkets - 16%
