What solution did you find for the freezing ? I have a friend who owns this laptop and their laptop is constantly freezing also

Apologies for the delay, here is my fix. Go to Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> Power Options> Edit Plan Settings. (or type "power plan" in Start search bar) Once there, click "Change Advanced Power Settings". In the list of options that appear, choose "Processor Power Management". It is here you will see your "Minimum" and "Maximum processor state", each with their own sub-options. Change the sub-options to your Maximum processor state to anything below 100%. (I changed mine to 95, but recently to 90 for good health) Do that again with the sub-options to your Minimum processor state, preferably anything below what you placed as your Maximum percentage. If you like, you can just change the top setting that is [Active]. For anything below High Performance, only change the Maximum processor state sub-options to anything below 100. User's preference. Now apply the changes, let your M15 get comfortable permanently running these changes and you should be set... Unless you don't have these settings in your Advanced Power Settings list (like I did). In that case, you're gonna have to do a couple internet searches. I found a forum, top link of the page when I searched "add minimum processor state". I then searched for add maximum. Same forum. I believe it was OPTION TWO (scroll about halfway down the forum) that gave me the registry files I needed. Correctly set those up on your M15 and the settings above should now appear in your Advanced Power Settings list. I suppose the reason for my M15 freezing is because both my Minimum and Maximum processor state settings were set to 100%. No matter the activity, my M15 was always running at peak performance. After the changes, it does perform better for long-term heavy activities. Really just in general overall. :)

Why pair 3060 with 4 core processor? It doesn't make sense

@@adikgaming7544 a 3060 and a 3300x or I3 is a nicely balanced 1080p Ultra gaming rig. I wouldn't even consider 6 cores for less than a 3070 and only if it was for max fps shooters at 1080p med/low.

This laptop is £500 cheaper in the UK than the Zephyrus g15

G15 is like $2k whereas MSI M15 is $1400. The Zephyrus M15 has a 2070 compared to a 3060

but in this day and age, no webcam is a dealbreaker for me

@@abyansyafi1815 If you wanna vc w/cam in the public or anywhere away from home, sure, if you only wanna vc at home, you can buy separate cams that are much better than any built-in laptop camera.

Depends on what you are playing and what resolution you are playing on. 1080p and below that won't have much difference.

You guys lucky asf. I got a shitty Lenovo 2 in 1 with a celeron (idk the model but we got it in 2016). It works to this day but two chrome tabs it the max it can handle.

Virtually every time a tech reviewer complains about the webcam, I come away impressed. 🤷‍♂️ I've even seen some "This is great/this is trash" comparisons, and I only see marginal differences. Apparently I'm not picky.

I bought it yesterday and after watching some videos about it reading some comments like yours I canceled my order immediately and bought an Acer laptop which has same GPU and a better 6 cored CPU.Hope I did the right thing.

Virtually every company would behave this way if it could. Red, green, blue... doesn't matter. They all want a majority of the market share. I think Intel's definitely rebounded a bit in the laptop space with its newer Tiger Lake-H (non-35) processors, but I've yet to get my hands on one.

? The problem was explained in the video. It's being outperformed by a six core, older counterpart in a cheaper laptop. It renders slower, it compiles slower, and bottlenecks faster.

@@GregSalazar It's adequate enough for RTX 3060 mobile and that's all what matters. And for rendering and other hardcore productivity, you simply don't buy a gaming laptop. That should be obvious. Anyway, in gaming benches it excelled.

People overrate CPU way too much in Gaming. I'm rocking an i5 6500 with a Rtx 3060 and its fine lmao it handles 4k 60fps perfectly

Anytime I buckle down and say "It's my motherboard, ig I'll RMA it," it magically starts behaving normally. But I'd rather fix it for good than jump through this rather annoying series of hoops for a fourth time.

You still got the old motherboard? Try putting it back and using it

@@yousifabdo2714 yes I just did that. I had to do a CPU swap cuz it was an older chipset, but I confirmed the RAM still works. So I'm not sure what's up with the mobo, but I reckon I'll finally start that RMA process. Just got flustered and wasn't thinking clearly ig lol. Thanks for the suggestion tho

damn, i'd just recently got a lenovo flex 5 with a R5 5500U for 500gbp equiv. i am very happy with it. loving the ryzen u series, but i hate the intel u series.

yeah im currently using one and it has been a good laptop to me, Slim, light, ok battery life (put it in battery saving mode) it last 5-6 hour, powerful enough for all the game, i recommend for who is working in office and want to play some game and so some editing.

This laptop is not portable. It has no battery life. Maybe 1 hour unplugged. Source: I bought it 😢

I just got it for $730 and I think its performance for everyday tasks and AAA Gaming with external displays are both excellent

@@Voonk2001 nice, had the thinv for around a yead now and it still runs very well, some heat dispursion issues so maybe check up on the thermal paste regularly, but other than that its great

@@ironic7583 thanks for the thermal paste information...I just upgraded the RAM to 32GB and the SSD to a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe...The performance difference was amazing

I have recently purchase the new legion 5 with the rtx 3070 and the duzen 7 5800h and I must say it’s the best gaming laptop for the price range I have ever tried and test benched. It can easily run the newest titles on ultra settings 1080p with no problems, smoothly. No overheating issues or cpu/gpu throttling

the point of a laptop though is that it’s litterally the only solution if you need to use a PC anywhere you go... so unless you always have a sufficient desktop wherever and whenever you actually need one... you know...

@@mikeycrackson you aren’t gonna find an itx with reasonable price and stock that can be as portable as a laptop. Plus finding a monitor and stuff and it’s just hard to compare in general

Such as Canon Powershot SD600 Sony Cybershot DSCS60 Nikon Coolpix 4600 Sony Cybershot S90 Canon Powershot A610 etc. etc. etc. All of which recorded in 640x480 or 320x240. Even the $600 (not budget) 2005 (not early 2000s) Kodak Easyshare P880 was limited to 640x480. And all of these looked way, way, worse than this.
