How can the SCOTUS GOP judges NOT consider the facts of the Trump crimes at the hearing, but make a ruling on the hypothetical basis when the facts and laws are right in their faces? The SCOTUS decision should be a unanimous NO, a president does NOT have absolute immunity. The GOP appointed SCOTUS justices are an 'imminent' threat to the constitution and democracy.

Unfortunately, Article 3 of the constitution provides that justices “shall hold their office during good behavior.” Which basically means for life. They can be impeached but that has only happened once in 1804. Samuel Chase was impeached but the senate refused to convict.

From a judge’s point of view: PRECEDENT, which should sound familiar to SCOTUS. If Trump clams Act 1 is official, has any other President in history ever done Act 1 in the course of official duties? If not, Act 1 is a private act. Case Closed.

He didn’t stage a coup. He had a protest and went through the legal channels to investigate voter fraud and challenge the election. Trump tried to get the national guard to protect the capitol leading up to January 6th. The dc mayor and Nancy pelosi refused to allow it. If he gets elected, he's in the clear for 4 more years. They can then decide that presidents don't have immunity, and it won't affect him.
