This is clever, a string (with a adhesive at the end) launched on command, by a spring loaded capsule. The lights on the side, that indicates when it is usable, are a pleasant addition. The launching of the string really does remind me of a spider's spinneret. 0:23

I always wanted one of those toy Spider Man shooters when I was little, I’m pretty sure silly string just came out of it though. I used to think if I got one I’d be able to swing around everywhere like I was in New York or something haha. It was only supposed to bought by boys, but I was like nah man I wan’t one.

Hey dude. This is an amazing video and hopefully inspired a lot of young engineers. I know I was inspired. This is such a cool design you got going on and it looks so small and slick. I’ve been brainstorming to hopefully build off your idea and try new things. Unfortunately I do not have enough money to buy and of the things your used in this video. Unless every thing costs 5$. Anyway, one of my ideas was to have a very small adhesive pallet puller. If you don’t know what a pallet puller is, it’s a mechanism that the harder you pull the tighter it gets. I think that you could maybe add some sort of teeth to the props so that they can grip stronger as you pull. It would kinda look like a claw from a crane game. I hope you take this idea into consideration because I think it’s the best and strongest way to grab onto walls and other items. Keep up the good work!
