I literally had to do a double take when I saw that there was an OST for Painter of the Night, and more so the fact that it was uploaded to 1theK channel. But besides that, I absolutely adore this song, the singer has a beautiful and melancholic voice that really fits the historical vibe of this manhwa and the video itself made my heart tighten with sadness. I genuinely hope they make a series adapted from this BL because I feel like it would be a big hit while its still in its peak of popularity.

Finished the final chapter while listening to this… I can’t explain how fulfilled and happy I am. Honestly, I first found out about POTN through this very same music vid/song about two to three years ago. Captivated by the emotion that Ahn Yeeun sang with and the art of the video, I was curious about what story this song could be about. Perhaps it was about some guy who met a man that only appeared when the moon came out. Perhaps it was about two people with PTSD coping together. At the time, I didn’t know what the differences between manhua and manhwa were, unknowing of the beauty between the two worlds which held so much pain yet so much beauty. After a while of searching, I finally found out that this song was made for a manhwa called Painter of the Night. I read and- damn, that was a lot of stuff to be unpacked. Then, I became a devoted reader of POTN. I’m usually one for angst, but POTN drove me near to tears. The pain that Seungho and Nakyum went through throughout the story was very well-displayed and well-explained. I didn’t feel like I was just a reader. I felt as if I was invisible standing next to the two of them as I watched them endure the greatest of mental pain. In the end, I love POTN. I do not have enough words to describe how much I love POTN, and I’ll probably be rereading it, like idk, a million times. I know a lot of people out there can relate to me. Of course, I’m not the only one who loves POTN, and us fans must thank Byeonduck for her hard work and creating even when she went through problems of her own. Thank you, Byeonduck, for such a beautiful story. Thank you for Painter of the Night.

I stopped reading until Chapter 63 because I couldnt handle my anger for the unfairness that happened in Nakyum's life. But now because of this song, i willl try to read again. I just want my baby Nakyum to be happy, please dont hurt him again. He suffers so much already :(
