Well reasonably so because he doesn't know how to feel about it. Him having remorse for having thoughts shows a commendable side of his character, but now having to deal with his moral questioning has left him seeking guidance. Having this guidance provided by complete strangers is ideal for somebody in a situation like this, because they don't have to worry if word will get back to the one they were afraid of mistreating. I forget what his ultimate question was in the end of that story, but he realized what he was doing was wrong, and actively changed his course of action to try and prevent committing the ACT. I don't feel like he should feel bad, also I don't feel like he should tell his partner... Instead he should reflect on why he considered what he did in the first place and try to work on that with his partner (or therapist if it's a feeling of inadequacy w/e). But ultimately if he admits to having thoughts of cheating it is not going to do him or his partner any good for their relationship

It's kinda like what they said in the video. If we need to share every thought we have it'd just bring a lot of trouble. All that being said I think if you're even thinking about cheating you need to take a look at your relationship and why that thought is even there.
