DESCRIPTION
In this video I show you how to make a basic Madeira Cake. You can eat it as is or you can fill it, decorate it as you wish. Providing you use the correct size cake tin for that amount of cake batter, you can't fail. This was the base of almost every decorated celebration cake we made in the bakery, just by changing the flavouring, colouring, and shape, etc.
RECIPE:
125g Salted Butter (Softened)
125g White Granulated Sugar
3 Medium size eggs
200g Self-Raising Flour (If using plain/all purpose flour add 2 level teaspoons of BAKING POWDER (NOT Baking Soda)
