As a person who gets super cold, watching this made me quite anxious. Tips for the next time you decide to stay in a tiny house you've built in the middle of winter: - Alcohol, although it feels warming immediately, draws heat away from your core to your extremities, making you colder overall later - Change your clothes before bed. The ones you have had on all day will have your sweat in, this then cools down (and can freeze) and will make you colder - Hats and socks in bed are sensible, that bit makes sense - layers that 'puff' up are your best friend, they'll trap air, which will warm up and keep you toasty - synthetics or wool next to the skin if you're going to sleep in clothes, synthetics will draw moisture away from your body, wool traps air (have you ever seen a cold sheep?), cotton gets wet and stays wet (jeans are the worst culprit here, but basically try not to wear cotton next to the skin whilst sleeping) - If your flask is a bit inefficient (i.e. warm on the outside) and you don't finish your hot drink, wrap it in something and use it as a hot water bottle. If it is efficient, then transfer the hot water to a water bottle that can take it (like a nalgene) and do the same. Make sure it's definitely closed! - thermarest beats roll mat, roll mat beats air mattress. Air mattresses require too much air to be a useful barrier; roll mats trap some air and don't puncture; thermarests are the most comfortable, require significantly less air than an air mattress, and are harder to puncture. Their are many thermarest style options about, if you're planning on sleeping outside a lot, this could be a good way to go, otherwise roll mat over air mattress. - If you can put more layers between you and the ground/platform, do. insulating from the ground can be better than insulating from the air, as you squash whatever you lay on (at least a little). picnic blankets with the foil backing are pretty good as an extra layer, blankets work too. As someone else said, I am also impressed by your commitment to oral hygiene. I would've probably slept with the lights on and got fuzzy teeth if that was when I realised those things.

From Canada here. In such a small space you could just use some heat lamps. Once you have it insulated heat should stay in the house. Also doors let out all of the heat being opened all the time This might sound weird but you could put heavy blanket on door and this should help you keep heat in.
