I think the plot twist was that Mommy Long Legs was trying to protect the kid cause she realized that the boy teacher was a of staff playtime co cause in the lore Mommy Long Legs was an orphan tested so she regain some of her humanity by seeing the kid becuase she doesnt want the kid to end up like her

The way she coverd the boy so he wouldn't get hurt is just heart warming she is a good mom!

Well that was an interesting twist, both of the humans were not who they really were. Though again, this kinda makes me want to ask Mommy that she's essentially just a large human with stretch powers (ignoring the fact that she can make webs) so what's stopping her from leaving and having a normal life as close as possible? But then I remember who's guarding the entrance.

During the first two parts of the video it seemed that the kindergarten teacher was good. But here we have seen that Mommy Long Legs only protected her son, and she has died for him. Surely the teacher who works for Playtime CO is looking for children for experiments, that's why she is trained. I always felt sorry for Mommy, and I really wish she hadn't died. The animation is excellent, and the story it conveys is great, as always

I think I might have an idea about the whole story here: (Fair warning, this gets long) -In the game, the player has a chance to see a poster advertising a toy set: Mommy Long Legs and Family. There, the player gets a clear look at designs for what we can only assume are Daddy Long Legs and Baby Long Legs. At the very end of Part 3, the stretchy arm that comes out of the Little Boy is bright yellow; the same color as the Baby Long Legs toy from the poster. -The way the videos are set up makes you think that Mommy Long Legs used the body of a Playtime employee in order to escape the factory, and that the employee had a kid who is simply unaware of it all. But I think we can go deeper than that. Canonically speaking, Playtime has been experimenting on orphaned children in the factory. It’s also canon that Mommy Long Legs is caring and loving towards children, but hostile towards adults. (I also personally think that Mommy Long Legs was one of few cases where an adult was experimented on instead of a child.) So, what if the Little Boy was just another orphan who had been brought to the factory sometime after Mommy Long Legs had been created? One who was specifically selected to be made into Baby Long Legs? And, if that’s the case, I think it would make perfect sense for Mommy to want to take that child with her if she managed to escape the factory. -In Part 1, the Pink-Eyed Woman was shown to be working as a kindergarten teacher. But here in Part 3, she very clearly has a Playtime Co. lanyard. Plus, she wears a yellow apron, and yellow seems to be the uniform color for Playtime. Again, the game makes it clear that orphans have been used for the experiments in order for Playtime to not be suspected in any missing children investigations. But even if I’m right about the Little Boy being one of those victimized orphans, logically and realistically, it would be impossible for Playtime to have an endless supply of orphans. So, I would NOT put it past Playtime to start sending certain employees to abduct children outside of the factory. I think the Pink-Eyed Woman was only POSING as a teacher; I think she was on a scouting mission in the Little Boy’s school to find select more kids for the experiments. -HOWEVER! That might not be the only reason she was infiltrating the school. If one of the experiments had actually escaped the factory, then the higher-ups would be desperate to get that toy back under control. Desperate enough to send out certain workers to search for it. So what if the Pink-Eyed Woman was specifically looking for Mommy Long Legs and Baby Long Legs? And what if she just so happened to go off of a hunch because of that picture the Little Boy drew in Part 1? -In Part 2, we see that Mommy Long Legs is hiding several cocooned bodies in the basement. And we clearly see a Playtime Co. lanyard is peeking out of one of those cocoons. Remember, Mommy is violent towards adults, and has met definitely witnessed children being experimented on in the factory, which would have fueled her hatred towards Playtime employees even more. (Remember her little monologue near the end of Chapter 2 in the game? “But you. . .you worked here. So if anyone deserves to die alone. . .its you.”) I think Mommy recognized the Pink-Eyed Woman as one of the employees who was in on the experiments. I think that’s why the Pink-Eyed Woman was so afraid of her; not just because Mommy is terrifying, but because she legitimately has an axe to grind. -True, the Little Boy doesn't seem afraid of the Pink-Eyed woman, but remember, he's just a young kid. Even if he was used for the experiments, it's unlikely that someone his age would remember seeing the Pink-Eyed Woman if she was involved in those experiments. Trauma is very complex with how it effects different people, and age can definitely be a factor there.The Pink-Eyed Woman may have had a hand in Mommy's experimentation, but she might not have worked on the baby Long Legs experiments. Plus, she'd be posing as a teacher--a trustworthy adult. If the Little Boy hadn't recognized her from the factory, then he simply wouldn't have a reason to not trust her. At least until the end, that is. -I think that’s why the Pink-Eyed Woman was so creepily excited when Mommy was killed. Because if Mommy’s dead, she won’t be able to tell anyone about what really goes on at the factory. It means one less unruly experiment to deal with. And means that, like we see at the end of the video, there’s nothing to stop her from returning the Little Boy to the factory.
