All Grand Slam channels should upload ALL the matches between the Big 3, either full matches or extended highlights like this, in full HD quality. These matches should now be considered a common owned treasure for humanity, considering the fact that we are approaching very fast to the end of the greatest era in tennis history.

Nadal really got under Fed's skin in a way that hadnt happened to him b4 on the ATP tour. He was used to being *THE MAN!* And virtually winning a match before the 1st ball was even struck. But in Fed's mind, Nadal actually had the belief, fire and determination to beat him and it rattled him. And caused Fed for moments to revert back to that kid who had serious temper/anger issues on court. Amazing!

@@mrgrimm53 That's nonsense. I'm a big FedTard, but Nadal didn't regularly whoop Federer on clay because Federer had a mental block. Nadal whooped him because he is Rafa Nadal, the best clay court player in tennis history. And his game played towards Federer's weaknesses.

@@joellahrman4557 I didn't say that. Of course Nadal is the biggest clay court player ever. I said maybe without the mental block, Federer could beat him on clay once or twice. (French Open) You can't deny the mental block didn't do anything for Nadal when playing against Fed. Not only on clay, but many other surfaces as well. But I agree with your other point , Nadal beat him on clay all that times because he's just superb on clay. Still I believe that mental block also gave him an extra 10% when playing Fed.

It was written in the stars from the moment they played their first-ever match on clay that Rafa would soon take up permanent residence in Roger's psyche. This match was a battle of wills which ultimately heralded the beginning of the end of Roger's chances in this budding rivalry and sealed his lopsided record against the clay-court wunderkind, especially at Roland Garros. And the rest, as they say, is now history.

Poor Roger. Balls that spinny are so hard to slice, and this is just the begining of that trend. Players after this all learned to play with more 'closing' grips, such as Rafa's semi-western, or Djocokic's extreme-western, so they can be more spinny themselves, and also more resistent to rivals' spinness. Today's tennis is all about running and hammering, almost like boxing.
