The concept of herd mentality has been studied and analyzed from different perspectives, including biology, psychology and sociology. A hive mentality happens when a person bases their personal decisions on whatever a group generally thinks or believes. Someone with a hive mentality typically considers loyalty to the group a top priority. To them, following the group's opinion is much more important than making independent choices.

As I listened to this heartfelt shrewd declaration, I heard a person 100 feet or so say something I thought was kind of disparaging as if in response to my listening to report while sitting in LAX and it was hurtful to hear; I won't repeat it. Even the Israelites of the old testament had their generational breaks for instance moving from the wilderness administration of Moses to the "possessing" administration of Joshua and Caleb. Perhaps this current conflict is that kind of inflection point in Jewish history. No "ism" is eternal; "isms" are a means whereby: so the Zionism of the late nineteenth century that blazed the path for diasporic Jews and such to return proved useful then, now perhaps an all encompassing Internationalism will bring about the peaceful co-existence within Isreal/Palestine's border, a sentiment I have seen expressed so many times over the past 20 years on the bumpers of cars passing by on streets and highways in the US and Canada.
