Oh my Lord!! Nate breaking the news to Aaron about his gout was the funniest thing I’ve heard in weeks. “You’ve got gout son!”😂😂 Almost crashed laughing so hard. My dad used to work at the DuPont plant back in the day and I decided to show him Tennessee Kid being that he's from Knoxville. When Nate's Earth Day joke came on and he mentioned the plant, we paused the special and did the math to find out that he was inside the plant when Nate was outside planting a tree. It truly is a small world. Love the podcast yall.

Nate, my husband and I first saw you on the episode of Stand Ups on Netflix when it came out and we laughed so hard we went on a mad hunt to find everything you’d ever done and have followed you ever since. We were able to see you, Breakfast, and Aaron live at one of the drive-in shows and it was there we discovered this podcast. It brings me so much joy to hear the three of you every week, I can’t imagine if I hadn’t discovered it. Nate, we just saw your show last night in Lexington, KY and it was so amazing!! We were in tears the entire time…Although honestly I felt a little jilted after having practiced my “Let’s goooooooo!!” in the mirror in response to your “Hello folks!” greeting and the gleeful pride that would inevitably follow as I would explain to the people around me that it was an “inside joke”. Alas, the greeting never came but you are still my favorite comedian. Thank you for all the laughs.

Let's go, folks!!! So, I started listening to the Nateland podcast (from the first episode) during my commute to work every day and y'all make my days so much brighter, thank you! I was playing some of Nate's stand-up clips on UKposts from home last night- an older clip from the early 2000s. My husband turned to me and said, "Huh... He's a good looking guy but he 100% looks like a block-headed Lego character..." I was laughing hysterically and responded by telling him I had to share this with you guys, knowing that you would get a laugh out of it as well. :) Keep up the good work, and congrats to Brian and Mrs. Breakfast on the birth of their Baby Brisket!

Nate, Aaron, & Breakfast Burrito-- I'm an elementary school art teacher in Springfield, TN and I had to tell y'all about my sweet Kindergarteners today. We are creating self portraits this week if each student was a king or a queen and I told them there was a surprise if they were really good and followed directions. They worked so hard and I announced that their surprise was that we get to add gold paint on their picture frames and crowns. (The budget is tight so painting is kind of rare for us) This class ERUPTED in cheers and clapping and one sweet friend yelled LET'S GOOOOO!! with this buddies. It was chaos. I instantly thought of my favorite podcast and how you all would disapprove of his cheer. Getting to paint is the BEST, though.. so what do y'all think? Was that a fair use of "let's go?" Side note-- I got to see Nate along with Aaron, Brian, AND Nate's dad at the Grand Ole Opry and it was UNBELIEVABLE! I had just yapped on and on to my friend group about Brian's baby, Aaron's gout, and Nate's dad being a magician. So one by one they announced each of you and my friends watched me LOSE it each time. Nate's dad crying about his success was the sweetest. Love you guys!

Been listening to both Kentucky Sports Radio and Nateland since they started. It was very cool to see those worlds collide on KSR. Nate, thanks for spending the time to be on their show. I hope they fed you well at the restaurant. I'm 40, and I still try not to make my parents mad too. I'm glad we could share a dislike of the University of Tennessee...they're the worst. Nateland Team, I live in Jacksonville, FL. I was devastated to hear about Bob Saget’s passing. I’m watching the interview with Nate on, “Bob Saget’s Here For You”, on UKposts. I paused it after I heard Bob react to Nate talking about doing marriage jokes to the college demographic, and he suggested that is EXACTLY who you might want to do marriage jokes to. It literally made me want to pause and find where to say: YASS! It’s tough to watch this. It’s tougher knowing the timeline, the connection that was kinda happening between Nate and Bob, then understanding Bob’s autopsy results were just publicly released, and the results. I love Nate’s comedy. So much. I seek it. I had a ticket to his Jacksonville, Florida Theater, show - from back in April of 2020. When the show finally came through in late 2021, I couldn’t make it. I was bummed. I had a great seat. A single person on a venture I’d never tried. I’m saying all this dumb, insignificant crap because I hope the next time around, Nate does a bit to a young, college crowd about marriage. 😬 Love you, Nate! Love your comedy. Love your show. Please keep it coming. RIP, Saget. ❤️ **Just finished watching the collaboration between Bob and Nate on Bob’s show. My heart is full. You guys, you’re two in two million. Switzerland?! Love it. Love Bob. Love Nate and his team. Looking forward to making it to a show.

Nate, I'm a recovering alcoholic who had a similar struggle as you with candy where I didn't think I needed to quit because I hadn't hit rock bottom. I was very high functioning, had a great job, put on a good public image, etc. But after going to rehab and helping a lot of other addicts get clean, I have found that you don't have to hit that rock bottom necessarily to get to that point. Just think about what that rock bottom could become. Think about if you DID get diabetes because you KEEP eating so much sugar and it ended up taking 20 years off of your life, and that is 20 years that Harper doesn't have with her dad or Laura doesn't have with her husband. I now sell life insurance so I have made a living by putting these things into perspective for people and showing them what will happen if they don't do something about it now. Good luck on your weight loss, boys, and congrats on the Asian baby, Breakfast! DJ D (feel free to not use my full last name)
@faithdomster5081
@faithdomster5081 2 роки тому
This is awesome insight. I thought of Nate’s love for Harper and Laura and all of his career goals as being his motivation to cut out sugar as well. Love is a power motivator. Just saw podcast with author who wasn’t an alcoholic, but changed her relationship with alcohol… thought that’s as great way to think about it. Same with anything we are wanting to cut out of our life.

As a teen I learned to drive on a stick. Around that time I was asked to drive my grandma and her sister to lunch. The problem was we drove my grandma’s car- an automatic. My mom, riding up front with me, directed me to turn left. Out of habit, I pressed down the clutch to shift but of course it was actually the brake… Imagine the two Golden Girls in the back seat becoming the two old heckler dudes from the Muppets as they plunged forward. “Help us, God!” “She’s going to kill us all!”

What Nate's talking about with sugar is very common with addictions. People often don't quit until the cost outweighs the benefit. It can be helpful to actually write out a cost/benefit analysis to put things in perspective clearly.

As soon as Aaron mentioned getting 3 MRIs, I thought at least one of them must have been for his gout. Probably more. Then my brain automatically imagined Aaron going with Brian to his MRI and trying to stick his foot in the tube with Brian in there, like Michael Scott trying to stick his burnt foot in the tube with Dwight. Although this was very funny to imagine I don’t think Aaron could balance the way Michael did or even fit that nasty swollen foot in there next to Brian. Aaron, I’m sorry I kept the gout cream you signed buddy

It is heartening to hear Cho came up in a group of comics who were decent, encouraging and supportive of one another. So often the stories are about comics tearing one another apart, drugging, whoring & sabatoging and I often felt sad for the environment and psyche of those comics. It's good to know there are good characters in the industry too.

I say quirky things all the time like asking my boyfriend, now husband, "What are those big horses called again? Glockenscpiels?" Or when my son, Cash, made a comment about how monkeys are the best, I quickly and randomly replied, "Yeah, but monkeys don't celebrate Christmas." I'm often on the same wavelength with you all. Anyway, the fact that so many people love this podcast gives me a little more hope in humanity so thanks for that.

Nate Bargatze & Henry Cho: what a sweet combo + 2 other people (Brian (Bates) and Aaron (Weber); I didn't knew that these two guys were friends, in the comedy world/social circle. (Jay) Leno, Arsenio Hall and Conan O'Brien were cool talk-show hosts, like a Tom Snyder or a Craig Ferguson. I liked the Leno vs. David Letterman (late-night (talk show) wars, from back in the day. Bob Saget, Garry Shandling (HBO's "The Larry Sanders" talk show series) and (Johnny) Carson ("the Tonight Show" with Ed McMahon (after Jack Paar: this guy was beyond my time), R.I.P. (Jim) Gaffigan is hilarious, man...

Norms Death hurt really bad, he was my biggest hero and Bob's podcast (especially about Norm) and humor really helped me through that. So this really sucks too. Not to say I didnt care for Bob before that. From the Music Videos, to the Cameos, to the Sitcoms, to the standup, to the Roasts, to the just all around great humor and the fact that you could tell he cared about people, THIS GUY WAS A LEGEND! RIP. Also Bob Saget was the first Stand Up Comedian that Norm saw live when he was 17. They Both remember the story. Its awesome to listen to. The Times They Are a Changin.

For some reason, when I saw the name Henry Cho, I thought of John Cho from the Harold and Kumar movies. For the first few minutes of listening, I was almost convinced that he had cancelled and they just tried to sneak Gary Busey in there, pretending that he was Henry Cho. Anyway, hilarious stuff as always, thanks for making Wednesdays great!

I have always wondered where the comments your reference come from. I typically listen on the apple podcast app but don’t know if you can even comment there. Oh well, anyways. Love the show. I always wanted to be a stand up comedian but never really thought about how to even make that happen. Now I’m nearly 40 and even though I live 30 minutes from LA I am not sure I’d have what it takes. I will say, there were like 2 or 3 of your early bits that I actually thought of forever ago but you’re so funny. I feel like we’re so similar and could’ve easily been friends had we grown up together (even though you’re a few years ahead of me). I’m originally from the East coast (NC) but moved out here 5 years ago to plant churches. A friend of mine and I went to your LA show and had such a great time. We were at the shore where the drunk lady wouldn’t be quiet. So funny hearing you talk about her. Nothing like being a comedian. Appreciate all you do and the skill you use in your trade.

i know Nate is an avid golfer but i was curious as to his thoughts on disc golf. Has he ever played it? if not, would he? i would love to go disc golfing with Nate, Aaron and even Benson too (we would just do 9 holes in this scenario so that the old man could make it the whole way through)

A "Tobaggan" is a large, curled front wooden sled. First time I heard a hat referred to as that was in Marine Corps School of Infantry in 1994. We laughed at the southern boy who said it.

Hello folks, You mentioned my comment that A1c levels were ‘bull.’ I feel I should explain some more for the greatest average American and my favorite comedian. A1c is an average of your blood sugar levels over a 2-3 month period and we as a medical community have continued to prescribe medications to lower the target A1c. We are now coming to understand that insulin resistance is the real enemy not just high blood sugar. Nate, you may have the diet of Warren Buffet but still keep a respectable dad bod because you have a genetic blessing of high insulin sensitivity. That being said, continuing to gullet down sour patch kids will inevitably lead to resistance. The only living exception is of course, John Daly. Ps- I really appreciated your message that if you feel like you may need to stop doing something- you probably should. I needed to hear that.

Mr. Aaron Webber, let’s go! I’m about 250 now and have the same goal as you. I turn 49 in October and would really love to be in the 200-teens. Maybe we keep each other in check and make this become a reality. What do you think? I know it’ll be more of me checking in on you, but I’m a retired military man, so if I say I’m gonna check in, know I will! Let’s do this! ps - love the show, you three are like friends I wish I had, always enjoy listening to the banter back and forth, and I really look forward to Wednesday mornings.

Hello folks! Dentist here. While I do agree with Kim Dunlap (Dental Hygienist from last week) that Sour Patch Kids cause pH imbalances that can cause decay, it is my professional opinion that a life without Sour Patch Kids is not a life worth living. Last week I pulled a tooth, told the patient to lay off the sweets, then sat in my office and ate a handful of Sour Patch Kids. Just make sure to floss and brush, preferably not with Cortisone.

Nate, texting your kids is an entire new level of parenting. Just wait, until she sends the accidental spelling or wrong emoji. I texted my,then 13 year old daughter, a simple text "clean your room" to which she replied 🖕and quickly responded "oh my gosh mom I'm So sorry I'm so sorry I meant to send 👍" to which I replied "let's talk about why the middle finger was in your most used 😂😂😂
