When he said “Can we go back” I felt that. It isn’t even nostalgia. Like why did they have to get rid of the main menu? The neighborhood sucks. Also the players in this game were great and the graphics are as good as they are today. The story mode wasn’t filled with hours of useless stuff (although the 2K20 Story does give me a good laugh but only because of how bad it is) and the blacktop was just fun. It was so simple back then

This game will forever be remembered for how it revolutionized graphics in 2K tbh... if you look at what we were playing before this came out, the jump was so incredibly far... and the crazy thing is these graphics still hold up today. Although I think 2K17 overall looks better, 2K14's lighting was the best of all of them on next gen

The biggest difference between 2K17 and this is that 2K14 has better lighting and also the way the jersey moves is more realistic. It's weird I don't know why but I STILL prefer how 2k14 looks.

The thing that mad 2k14 stand out so much compared to the other 2k’s on PS4 was how every court seemed to have its own lighting and it would even look different depending on the team that played that day.

I’ve grown up playing the very first NBA 2K on Sega Dreamcast ( AI cover days) until now. NBA 2K14 still looks great! I hope they can reignite that basketball passion even better from when we experienced this. I gotta say I got GOOSEBUMPS when it showed Luka walking into the court on the NBA 2K21 trailer. Not only were the Graphics amazing and that lighting is the best ever in a sports game the player movement was the best in this game. The ecomotion engine was special. For example, using Kobe looked and felt exactly like Kobe. I hope 2k21 next gen goes back to this.
