I show up to mow this kind lady's property and the neighbor's already standing outside trying to figure out what i'm doing. I do my initial walkthrough. I mind my own business, not paying attention. Take pictures for the before & after. And as i'm setting up to start mowing, he approaches me and starts asking me all these questions of "hey is it truly free? I heard that you do free overgrown lawn makeovers. I've been in this business for 11 years, never heard of anyone doing that"... (Watch the video to see what happens after!)

Fascinating that he’s a neighbor just across the street and has been doing lawns for 11 years yet isn’t aware of a neighbor in need of some help with her own yard.Perhaps this will be the long awaited eye opening reality that those among us who are in need of help are usually within eyesight of where we live.

He started out a concerned nosy neighbor, thinking you were a scam, then saw you're legit. Him lurking around he probably wasn't too happy about the free makeover, took his business away

My first instinct was that maybe he is interested in starting up a UKposts channel, but after hearing the rest of the conversation, I think he’s being nosy and probably wanted to charge them to cut it himself (or he’s upset that they declined his services and were able to get it for free). The more I thought about it I wondered why didn't he ever ask if his neighbor if they needed help. But then I know offering caring help to someone in need is just not in a lot of people's wheelhouse. I think Fill has inspired many people watching his videos to reach out and help others in whatever way their talents lead them. A seed is planted ( no pun intended). Sometimes it flourishes and other times nothing happens. Nevertheless the seed is planted...it gives them pause for a moment with that generous thought. Thank you, Fill!

He isn't nosey or a concerned neighbor. He just can't believe you do it for FREE because he didn't and wouldn't do it for his Neighbor. He is one of those people that enjoys being negative since he doesn't get his lawn cut for free. You do a great job helping others. It is appreciated by the homeowners and your viewers.

It's misleading to imply that the makover is free. In reality, UKposts pays for it, not the homeowner. More power to Fill for providing us with entertainment. The guy next door needs to come up with a similar gimmick, to compete with "free" service.

I see some of these yard care guys going a bit further these days with little tasks that us older folks really appreciate. They nail up fence boards and haul away the rubbish that doesn't fit in the trash. I understand not doing it due to costs, but man, what a difference it can make! ❤

Very true. That’s how we got a plow guy to do our driveway. He did it once or twice for a favor for my wife. I made sure to hire him afterwards. Good way to drum up business.😊

What I took from the conversation was that he was trying to figure out how you were doing this for free. He said to you, "she said you were doing this for free." He probably came over and asked her if she wanted her yard mowed. She then told him about you doing it for free. But then, feeling guilty about turning down a neighbor, she let him do her front lawn. He then got nosy about you.

What would have been really cool is if this neighbor had taken it upon himself to have already helped this lady out. I was 2 years divorced, struggling, my 14yo son decided to come live with me, barely able to feed him and I and one day I came home from work and found my front and back yard mowed. Turned out my elderly, retired across the street neighbor mowed it for me. And he did it again and again until I was able to get far enough ahead to buy a used mower. So, yeah, that what a "neighbor" is all about.

He would have to film though. Nobody can just do free work unless they are rich. The fact that these videos pays add-rev, is why youtubers can offer free cleanups. Many comments on videos like these seem to think the youtuber works for free, lol.

Well said! I agree going that extra mile really makes a differences on so many lawns. And my pet peeve is that they leave vines round the trees and don't raise the tree canopy. I think Fill genuinely cares about the homeowners! Keep up the good work. You're a favorite!

OH! Believe me he knew the neighbor needed help with their yard he was just not willing to do it for them without being paid. If they could have afforded lawn care the yards would be looking great and manicured.

Trimming up the low hanging branches on the trees is this one of my favorite things that you guys do, it just opens up the whole area because you can see through it whether it’s the front or the backyard. Great job.

Well - in my humble opinion, I think he had no ill intentions. He was curious about your ability to make a living and offer free services. He appeared to want to ask you more on how to do this. Hence, his repeating the phrase - “It’s cool man.” However, for some reason he didn’t feel it was an appropriate time, or perhaps, didn’t know what to ask about his real intentions.

Another great transformation as always! By the height of the grass, I'm thinking maybe he has offered to do her lawn for a ridulous amount of money she couldn't afford so he was waiting for her to get desperate enough to pay him what he wanted. When you showed up, he came over to find out what you were charging her to do the lawn that she must have agreed to. Of course without him coming right out and asking, you explained to him how you do overgrown lawns for people in need for free and just found it hard to believe, that's why he had to look you up on his phone. With the equipment you have on your truck and trailer, he immediately knew you did lawncare and thought she had hired you! Nosy, yes! Curious, yes! He knew he lost the job so he went home not offering to help because he wasn't about to work for free for her when she wouldn't agree to what he wanted to charge her! That's only my opinion, however, I think that is what the story was behind that! Thank you for all you do and I bet the lady is go appreciative and happy now that the lawn is off her mind and probably off his, too! Lol! God Bless you and your family!

It seemed disbelief and envy like he might not be getting the work he needs to make enough money. Also possible he works for someone and doesn't like it so maybe looking to shift employment to work for you. He may have quoted the job and the owner didn't respond to the price. The last thing I can think of is maybe looking to get into the niche of giving free service to make money on media sites.

@@5DConsciousness i only bid verbal contracts.. allowed them to be broken...if someone else came in on my accounts, and he underbids me. then the property is his... problem is, my bids always won out.. so low that the competition couldn't make a profit. I'm like that lol. Yes i lost about three accounts, in like 12 years..but I didn't fancy them as a loss of income, i had two other jobs..i worked 16 hours a day....then went mowing Fridays through Sundays. In winter i made big bucks plowing snow! Only took me 3 years to pay off my snow equipment...i bought second hand until I could buy new. I only offered services paid when i was done mowing or plowing snow..but some businesses were closed when it snowed. so i returned to them the next business day to collect. If someone could not pay me....i told them ok i'll give you 30 days to pay.. see you next snow storm. and when the snow came, i never returned to plow...and when they called, I said well i have not received the last payment...until then, I refuse to plow..sorry. They usually paid then. lol.. but i would still drop them as a customer.. no one gets free from me.. it costs too much nowadays, but alas, I haven't done lawn service for over 25 years lol. al

The neighbor could have done the neighborly thing and cut it before it got out of hand. Even if they charged for the gas used. I hope the neighbor is drooling over the job you did. Since it is cut now, the person who is doing the front can do the back. I agree that lowering the deck helped the manicure look better.

@@fillslawncare well….I got a wild hair as they say, and bought mine in the winter…and I’m in Kansas. Needless to say I’ve not had an opportunity to use the trimmer yet. The blower worked great for piling up the much-hated leaves so I could haul them off. A cut above my Kobalt set I’m sure!

I agree with what everyone else is saying. Seems like he's mad that you're doing it for free. He's probably tried several times to charge that neighbor for doing it and failed. Now someone comes along with a heart and does it for free and so he's feeling a bit jealous. I'm sure it was salt in the wound when he saw how many subscribers you have too lol Oh well. Maybe this will teach him a lesson in having a heart of flesh and not of stone. 💕🙌🏼

Fill, I've taken notice that in today's world no one can keep their own nose on their own face. Everyone has to know what you are doing. In today's world everyone has to have their noses up everyone's butt. There is no privacy anymore. I think what you are doing is a wonderful thing. Well....the neighbor is a problem, nosey? More than nosey. He seems to be looking for trouble, a shame but that's how a lot of people are.....I could be wrong but don't think so. He should have helped his neighbor a long time ago. Glad you could help out, another good video, we never miss one.😊

Hard one. If he was a good neighbour then maybe you wouldn't have needed to do the free mowing. Ergo I'm saying nosy 😅 Edit since he's stood watching then definitely nosy😂 I mean if he in landscaping offering to help could have got him massive exposure for free… just saying.

Another nosy neighbor DRAMA! I wouldn't even accommodate or waste my time with him period. If your intention is legit let him figure it out by showing him what you can do. Sorry, just me. I do not really care for nosy people, especially when they are asking too many questions and I'm just trying to do my work. Neighborly suggestion. He should have helped the neighbor out and maybe she might hire him to take care of her lawn.

Used to be, neighbors mostly cared about each other, knew each other, helped others… taught their kids to do the same! Now humanity seems so self centered they don’t even know their neighbors, much less speak with or help them… sad but, thank you for your kindness & compassion!

Neighbors are funny characters. Of course they want to be paid for their services but sometimes they don’t understand the people are not in a position to pay. I’m so glad there are people like you that help the people in that situation. I hope you still have the jobs where you are paid so you can do this out of the kindness of your big heart! The neighbor is like so many in our our society, don't trust anyone and look for the bad in everything. Fortunately, you are proving that mindset to be wrong, there are some good people in this world.
