First story was very clearly explained and sad to think that as many witnesses couldn’t inspire the sheriff to take action. What a traumatic experience for a young boy - to be terrorized by a Sasquatch for no apparent reason!! That would be horrifying to have big boulders thrown directly at you! Thanks to both writers of these stories for being so articulate and for sharing these experiences!

I live in Upstate South Carolina. 15° is very cold around here, brr. I wish we would've gotten a little snow. People around here can't drive in the rain, muchless snow. If and when we do get snow it's usually in February or March. Just wanted to say hi. Keep warm and stay safe out there. I listened to an encounter that was in McCormick County the other day. There have been Bigfoot sightings in Greenville and Pickens as well.

Thanks Nance! Great stories! The first story, the author refers to himself as a skinny boy who “didn’t want to be made even shorter” by being crushed under a tractor, so male. And his story of Sasquatch throwing boulders at a tractor that contained a little boy who was weeping in terror, is just another example of how Sasquatches can be real jerks sometimes. The 2nd story, Eric’s, was amazing and I’m sure glad he eventually landed on his feet here in Oregon. Welcome to paradise, Eric. Although, I would have had a hard time parting with your Uncle’s Cabin. But then, I’m a country girl. Eric, I think what was going on was that the orchard’s owner specifically planted a small secondary orchard up against the forest that was intended just for the Sasquatch. Those trees are left for them deliberately. It’s actually a common “bargain” farmers make with neighboring Sasquatches, planting 2 vegetable gardens, one close to the house and a second one over by the forest. You had know way of knowing that. You were lucky. He let you off with a stern warning and a nice big apple-made bruise to remember him by. And he didn’t carry a grudge about it since you took his warning seriously. I find it hilarious that Sasquatch have zero reservations about camp-robbing. They’ll steal you blind while you sleep. So, in their minds, their food is theirs, and YOUR food is theirs too. 😂 They’re not all jerks though, and seem able to grasp the concept of trading for what they want. I remember hearing one account years ago about a woman who would trade farm fresh eggs for farm fresh homemade preserves with her neighbors. Someone kept raiding her chicken barn, stealing eggs and occasionally a chicken. BUT the thief would leave something it apparently thought she’d appreciate, like a dead possum, in exchange. Long story short, they figured out she didn’t want dead animals, and started leaving her pretty rocks or hand polished pieces of wood, which she collects. And she took to leaving a basket of eggs behind the barn on a hook every night. But they didn’t bring the baskets back, so she switched to leaving them their eggs on the hook in sturdy paper bags. Some of them seem to have a sense of fairness sometimes. She’ll still lose the occasional chicken to them, but it’s very infrequent, and they leave an extra beautiful rock or something else special in exchange.

Nance, I really enjoyed the story. When I was younger I traveled to Washington State I stayed with some newish people, after we got to know each other they were telling Bigfoot tales and they said your suppose to give them food not take their food. The husband worked cutting trees on mountains he said he has seen so many different things it would take him a week to tell it all. Here in Tennessee when I am it snowed Sunday night and Monday 9 inches. We have not seen any road workers, mailmen, or garbage trucks. I guess their waiting on mother nature. We've had single digits at night and about 15 for the highs in the days. Supposed to be the same this weekend. Have a good weekend. Give Sweet Sage a big hug.

12:30 Uh, you’re not going to get flack for cleaning up leftover or dropped apples in an orchard! 🤣 Please! Out in the country, when the workers leave? I say have at it if you can find any. 👍🏽 And it’s basically adjacent-to, or on, your property, to boot. I think you’re good… anyone gives flack for that is tripping. Now, the Sasquatch is another situation!

And btw-no fruit bats in Montana, hehe. Mostly all insectivorous bat species there, that control the swarms of mosquitoes and flies. Fruit bats are more common closer to the equator, and very common in Africa, Asia, and Australia. I know you said you were stealing, but it would be different (obviously without the Sasquatch) if the orchard employed security, had their own dogs running around, or had more people on-site, in general. I wouldn’t necessarily consider collecting dropped, semi-acceptable fruits to be stealing, unless you’re picking good fruit off the trees. Like the Sasquatch likely does. 😉
