@@StanC0312 absolutely no issues what so ever. Apps auto update, I've performed multiple system updates since. To be honest I don't even remember that the phone was banned from Google play services. It performs as a Mate 20 would. As my man said, just don't change your google password. Other then that, this is the BEST video on this topic - this guy knows his stuff and I couldn't be more thankful. Good luck!

This guy is a genies. I watched this video and downloaded google play services to my Huawei nova 7i mobile the same day I bought the mobile with first attempt. everything worked fine till yesterday when I changed my google account Pw again it stopped working for my mobile. when I retried doing the same steps it did not allow me to go passing backup installation as per the steps. Then as per the user comments below I went ahead with the latest backup from the app gallery. Again I was stuck at the G application and there was an error coming with Chinese letters. So I did my research and was looking for an answer in the comments and figured that my firmware needs to degrade. Which I found the other video which explains how to do that and trust me its bit technical and complicated. anyhow with a full days effort I was finally able to get my firmware back to the required one to install the above way. After many hours of hard work I was finally able to get things back to normal and I am truly grateful for this video and this chanel. Life saver trust me. Those who struggle out there, I highly recommend this video to get things right. Greetings from Sri Lanka..

Hi, What apps you are using? I also have P40 lite, notofications still apears, and when I try to use Google apps like "GoogΕe home" or "Google Pay" and few others which use Google services, I've got errors and messages that device is not certified by Google protect, so apps would not be run on P40.

Thank you so much. I did everything according to the instructions and the first time Google services were installed and work correctly. No downgrades, no HiSuite, no connections to PCs or flash drives. Everything is easy and simple. Phone - Huawei P40 Lite. EMUI version is 10.1.0. The firmware version is 10.1.0.226 (I could be wrong here, because after installation the phone was automatically updated to 10.1.0.260). After the update, everything also works correctly. I bought a phone for my mother, but after such an easy installation I think to take the same for myself) Thanks again and hello from cold Russia)

@@user-cd9db9ll3n make sure you follow the instructions exactly. If you have a tablet or pc to watch the video on even better. Pause the video at each step whilst you execute the instructions on your phone. Took me close to an hour to do this methodically but is well worth the effort. My tablet had a small update 24 hours after doing this and then rebooted, I was terrified it would screw up all my hard work. Thankfully it didn't so looks like this method will work even when your device gets updates. Good luck!!

@@rcarlosibal not sure to be honest. These methods only seem to work for a short while until Google closes the loop hole. It costs nothing to try though. Mine is working flawlessly though and software was updated to 10.1.0.170 last week. That's the 2nd software update I've had since installing Google services. Give it a go and good luckπ€

You can solve this by freezing Google services framework but it will cause other problems. Better just used to or try to update play services via play store.

Thank you ever so much!! Only note i have, is when i tried to unistall Google play service at: 11:03 - it came with a pop up from Find my device, which basically tried to kill the phone. I disabled Find my device in: settings -> security. After that the popup went away and i could uninstall it, like you did in the video. P40 Lite not worthless anymore, GG.

Thank you so much for this! I haven't seen anyone mentioning the P40 Pro+ so wanted to say that I managed to set it up on my P40 Pro+ by downgrading it first to 10.1.0.132 . It did take some time to have it set up, a few tries but I don't get any notifications, and everything works perfectly! I didn't upgrade the software yet but will see in time. I don't miss now anything anyway. This is a lifesaver, to me only because of the bank apps, I managed everything else without Google services to be honest. Thanks again, great video and good job explaining it as simple as possible :D

Thanks, you save my day :) ---- I just got Huawei mate 30 pro in yesterday, so I make an update it by accidentally, So to be done the GMS installation I need to downgrade firmware to 10.1.0.236 (410689) then I will able to install backup app (app #1) and also can activate something from Chinese app :) FYI. after I uninstall Google Play Services (app #9) to install app #10 after this step my Play store is not working anymore but it can fix the notification I need to uninstall Google Play Services again then install app #9 after that everything working properly Thanks again :)

Unplug your flashcard if you cant download Gmail. Then clear framework's data, uninstall services and install 9-10 apps again. I lost 3 hours because of this. BTW its still working. Ty, sir!
