@@vmafarah9473 It's LPDDR5 and will be on the motherboard isntead of a stick of RAM. It isn't cheaper in any way, but allows them to reduce the thickness (and weight) ever so slightly. We're talking small numbers here, like 1mm and a few grams, but it's like a sports car, all these little bits here and there add up.

Last year I was gonna buy a new PC and my old one was MSI. So I started to search for a MSI. But they have sooooo manyyy series its just too confusing. Because of that I just went with the Asus G16 Strix SCAR.

If you are buying intel yes. They appear to be pretty close to a pheonix processor in capability and efficiency which isn't bad. It's ai performance is dubious and should probably be ignored from your decision though. It's also not better than 13/14th (same thing really) intel chip or dragon range in terms of performance and it's gonning to be more expensive than it's performance tier suggests.

Wish they kept the form factor of the initial Creator Z16 - nearly as thin as a MacBook Air... I've got the Hiroshi Fujiwara Edition with the MiniLED display and I love it. It's just a little outdated spec-wise, heats up easily, and has terrible battery life. Going to wait for ARM gaming laptop, I guess.

Prestige 16 AI Studio B1V comes the closest, but why only one Thunderbolt 4 port and 140W PD? The design is also a little less nice, I'd argue. Creator Z17 HX Studio - A14V looks better but is larger than I'd like and doesn't have a MiniLED or OLED display.

I think 14900hx has more cores and runs at a higher clock, but less efficient?

The 14900HX is Raptor Lake. It is faster, but consumes more power resulting in lower battery life. The 185H is Meteor Lake. It is slower, but consumes less power resulting in much longer battery life. It also has a much stronger IGPU which doesn’t really matter much because the 14900HX will be paired with a DGPU anyways. The 185H also has a NPU which is good for AI tasks, but the NPU is weak and AI tasks aren’t really widespread enough for it to be a selling point.

As far as I am aware they need opened up and cleaned after like the time it takes a rich kid to go on vacation. And that costs like $120 to service if you don't wanna break the warranty. And the cases just like snap off all nibbly bimbly. lol@@watchdog20

This is so real Wanted to get an rtx 4090 Lenovo legion pro 7i Then I saw the rtx 4070 ti super which sounds nice and performs better but I kinda like the portability of the laptop

I sit at the computer like 18 hours a day and they dont ever thermal throttle you can sleep with it on. But, to do that with a laptop I think you gotta buy the stand with more fans. My last build was a laptop and I couldn't believe how cool desktops run I went back to my laptop without a gpu cuz it was like 10 years ago and it runs normal idle at like 80c lol. @@bld.shisuiyt7338

I wish the newer laptops still have desktop cpu's with unlocked multiplier support for overclocking the cpu to 6ghz since the newer laptops don't support unlocked multiplier for overclocking the cpu to 6ghz since the mobile cpu's don't support the unlocked multiplier like there desktop counter part. For example, a gigabyte motherboard with instant 6ghz with the intel core i9 13th gen desktop cpu 13900k. The mobile cpu's still drain as much battery as the desktop cpu's and still get very hot. For instance, the 2019 msi gt76 titan and the alienware area 51m both have the intel core i9-9900k desktop cpu with all 8 cores running at 5ghz. I would use an external cpu with the intel core i9 desktop 14th gen i9-14900k cpu and external desktop even evga last gpu's the rtx titan or rtx kingpin 3090 gpu attached to the laptop. Basically attach the Intel core i9-149900k to an external cpu and evga external gpu with the 3090 rtx titan or 3090 rtx kingpin gpu to a gaming laptop and overclock the cpu to 6ghz and also overclock the rtx gpu as well.

jarrodo i need help I have the legion slim 7i 2022 as well My peft sode of the hinge feels tighter so it foesnt closes properly If need to get or reach the hinges do i need to remove all the heat sink and thermalpads? it doesn't closes propely and stays elevated so i m scared

Everything looks great except those stupid pudding keycaps. Pudding keycaps are the worst nightmare for people who hate RGB. Unlike RGB on normal keycaps which look tame at the lowest brightness, the RGB on pudding keycaps is always in your face even at the lowest brightness.

Seriously I prefer white lighting instead of rgb, why don't they release a sleek, minimalist and premium gaming version with just white lighting instead of rgb, so when I'm at work or in the meeting, the laptop won't be distracting and obnoxious.

Too bad o update series of bravo If there is any ipdate the usb should be usb3.2 gen 2, and usb c 4.0 plus either card readers and of course 100% srgb Ram 16 gbbupgrqdeqble opt up to 32 gb if can 64 gb Last but not the least Either using amd or ibtel

Damn, surprising to see PgUp/PgDn keys next to arrow keys on "Creator M14" and "Prestige 13 AI Evo". Usually only ThinkPads have those. But WHY they do not do that on their 15"/16"/17" models? If I am sitting hours in front of a laptop, I am not buying a 13"/14" laptops.

My MSI GL75 with 2070 from 2021 has been nothing but trouble. Year 1 RMA for bad mobo, Year 2 broken hinge, Year 3 GPU became unsoldered and disappeared forcing intel graphics. Going to msi laptop Reddit you’ll see many many posts with people having issues. I won’t be buying another MSI.

@@JarrodsTech I think me personally was spoiled by crazy and sleek ASUS/Razer designs over the years. That new G14 and even the HP Omen 14 is chef's kiss. Also having more colour choices other than a grey slab is worth it for creative pros!
