I think they need to do some work on those mannequin looking npcs... give them micro-movements and gestures. Everything else looks so incredibly detailed.

Actually, the standard DCS ground crew models come with micro-movements, but they only feature the carriers deck crew. That‘s why I used Massun92‘s Asset Pack for the ground crew here. They actually do feature gestures and he is constantly improving his pack and its becoming more and more realistic.

I think it's nice, the trees bend like rubber and the dust and burning effects of the explosion are from Drectx 9 🤣

@@BingoFuel07 yeah look at some videos of f-16’s landing, their procedures are very beautiful actually, nothing like the f-18, they can keep that nose up until it’s at crawling speeds and you don’t touch down hard. Nail the basics before you get into more complex stuff

I 'm building a mission on this map and I need to use the Explode command on the water. I thought this new Explosion effect with the shock wave would be cool. There is none. Maybe it only works for bombs dropped from a jet. Sad they did not make it that way.

Seems like the close-in trees should snap off at the trunks, the next closest should be stripped of foliage and then the others shaken but not flexed so much. Because a BLUE-82 (much bigger bomb) should clear about a football-field area of trees and create a helicopter LZ. It’s still very cool, though.

Yes, the graphics all come from native DCS settings but I do tweak the colors a bit in post production.

I use ultra settings and a little bit of moton blur, tited canopy for the f16 and some dcs color grading and the game looks wonderful 👌

walk out, and to the go to a jeep and drive to the hangar to talk to mechanics npc style, tell me to repair the plane as you pulled 9gs just for the lols.. and then go to commander for briefing and to the watercooler to talk to other pilots about what shit they pulled.. and then back to your room to play playstation, sms your girfriend, scroll what cars you will buy and go to bed, for tomorrow is next mission.. i would subscribe to that very much..

Hop out of a Huey or new CH-47F (in lieu of a -47C) and go FPS into the jungle with your M16A1 and your accompanying squad of 4 AI guys, one with an M60! Come back to the LZ 4 hrs later and hop back on a helo and back to base. There’s already a simple mod to order up artillery fire support from miles away!

@@Andrew-13579 problem is the graphics, you can't play FPS in DCS as graphics garbage for FPS, i would create a "channel", Game that works like a terminal, exchanging info, so you can actually play FPS (team A trying to take Team B holding up in settlement) and simplified positions can be shown in another game -DCS where Air power and artillery can be called, i think this is the future as it would allow many facets of games to unite in one without graphics hold up

@@keepwalking6041 I think I follow what you’re saying. Two separate but very related games, linked by exchanging pertinent data? And that should fit in perfectly with multiplayer. However, the transition from one to another…how would that work…or else I don’t follow. A player might go from riding in a helicopter in DCS (air) and transition into DCS (ground)? Or…would the player be in DCS Ground all the time, but riding in the graphics world of DCS Air (our current DCS) and seeing the aircraft graphics models, exterior and interior, but not having to do any of the flight and systems modeling/computations. Like a crew member of a multi-crew aircraft in DCS currently. Once placed on the ground in a DCS Ground location, there might have to be a visual “cut” to the DCS Ground visual environment with the DCS Air 3D aircraft models and munitions effects, appearing in it, in sync with DCS Air. Only, the DCS Ground environment would have much higher resolution terrain in a short, 1/2-mile radius, or so; and more ground objects in it. Something like that?

AFAIK it should come with the latest update, you can also manually run the update tool, if it isn‘t done automatically.

Similar to me except the shockwaves and effects on the bom impacts, which works (latest update isntalled!). But with my A-10 I cannot generate the great grass effects caused by engines.
