I just picked it up on the bracelet version....it's truly gorgeous and the wife approved! I'm amazed at the lume, especially the bi color application and lumed bezel. The bracelet is the best part in my opinion.

I’ve just ordered mine with the silver dial on the bracelet. This will be my most expensive purchase to date and it’s an early 60th birthday present from my lovely wife. I’ve always kept my watch purchases to under the £1000 mark so this is a big jump up in both quality and price for me. I looked at the 200 automatic but it just lacked that something compared to the 300. In the end it was between this and the Longines Spirit Titanium, really liked that as well but being a dive watch diehard the lure of the Tag was just too much.

Another great review Bruce. I love the 300 and that design would be my preference ideally as I like the execution of the subtle under crystal cyclops at 6. The 300 model has been lurking on my list for a while but so far hasn't made it to the top. The well proven Cal 5 movement is a plus for service options as you mention.

Nice review! I own the previous reference with the white dial. Absolute cracking piece. Tag seems to get a lot of hate from the watch community (online at least) for doing things all watch brands do. Seems in recent years they’ve upped their game and it’s exciting to see the brand take this direction.

The placement of the Aquaracer name above the logo is a nod to original Heuer pieces that (almost) always adopted this layout (Carrera, Monaco, Autavia etc). TH has started doing this on some of its newer pieces, including the 2022 Red Bull Formula 1 and the newer Carrera chronographs

Love my Aquaracer. Thankfully, I have the previous iteration. I prefer the old dial more and the cyclops looks awkward in the 6 o’clock position.

Always been a fan of the Aquaracer, it's gorgeous and ticks a LOT of boxes!

Dumped my inaccurate Rolex submariner with the Cyclops for a Tag Heuer carrera calibre 5 four years ago and never looked back.

Smart looking watch. It seems tag is upping its game now.

I have a 2013 chronograph model with a blue dial and just put it on a blue rubber band and it now looks even better.

Great review, I own the watch but i have no idea now adjust the band size, you said to use a razor and straight edge but how do I get the rubber strap out of and back into the titanium bracket?

Years ago I bought a Tag Kirium automatic and I loved it. Never had an Aqua racer but I'm sure it's a nice watch.

Excellent review mate. I’m new to the watch game and am torn between this watch and a black bay heritage. Obviously they are total different watches but in your opinion is the better watch snobbery aside?

Are they still using plastic around the movement?

The beef I have is a non cosc selitta with a non regulated movement in a "luxury brand" charging premium price. I do like the design even though it seems like the omega seamaster and rolex sub had a one night stand and this is what came out 9 months later. Tag should really start moving to in house moments on their dive series before the hard-core buyer will take the brand seriously.

Very attractive looking diver. Just the movement 38 Hrs power reserve? For the exact same price I feel to get Oris Aquis cal.400 instead which is 5 days of power reserve.

They first did the applied logo on the Aquaracer Chronotimer. Glad they used it again. Only thing i dont like is the pop back. Should at least have special tool notching like Breitling.

Nothing wrong with the Aquaracer logo at the top. Definitely nothing wrong with the watch at 43mm. Tried that 40mm version that you talked about. There is no Oompf at all with that. I am wearing the previous version 43mm on a 7" wrist, looks good. Anything smaller is just so so.

Can you replace the bracelet to a simple one without a clamp?

Beautiful watch. Ive owned mine for 3 months. It runs 12 seconds fast. How does everyone elses run? Ive heard it can be regulated to run much slower. Yet every watch store owner Ive talked with, doesnt do regulating

Tag got some nice watches but they need to size down. This one 43, carrera chrono 44, autavia GMT 42... i would have seriously considered all these if they are 40-41. They should also upgrade the movement, 38hrs of PR is ridiculous... but tissot is running 80hrs with COSC despite low beat. Now im looking at the montblanc iced sea, seems to be a great alternative for a ETA/SW based movement watch but with perfect sizing and probably with larger discount

It’s a nice watch I know a lot of people have a few problems with tag but their recent offerings are pretty nice. It’s going to be hard for them to go against all of the competitors in their price range though

heres my take, this professional in 40mm. The aquaracer print should be under the tag logo. The heaxagonal indicies should be placed straight and not in an angle.

Bruce are still placing plastic movement holders in the Aquaracer.

I see Omega influence, rather than Submariner to be honest. Personally I wouldn’t buy this - I hate an ugly cyclops at 3.00, but 6.00 is even worse.

Reminds me more of a Seamaster without the skeleton hands than a Rolex

Just saw one at the airport a couple of weeks ago. It is handsome, no doubt. A little bulky, in my opinion.

How big is your wrist?

Remove the cyclops, keep everything else the same and adjust the price to compete with aquis and you have a winner

Nice watch, but I’ll stick with my SMP 300.

Just so people don't get scared of the 43 mm size. These wear smaller or the same as than a 41mm Tudor BB, Longines hydrconquest or a 41mm Rolex submariner. It's a very impressive watch, well everything except the movement. Just god damnit cosc cerify them Tag. And don't you dare upcharge for that in a already pricy for what it is watch.

I was going to go buy this watch until you pointed out the location of the "aquaracer". Lol You're right though, it's oddly placed.

So close to great but those hour markers are all crooked! I would be embarrassed selling watches above even a few hundred dollars with such missaligned hour markers. Tag needs to pay closer attention to detail. Besides that, it does look like a great watch. As always, I enjoyed the video Bruce! Keep up the good work!

In a sea of generic looking "Dive watches" I feel the Tag's actually do enough to stand out. As a non-entusiast i notice. So i assume so would total non-watch people at a glace ...which IS why ..or partly..we buy luxury watches. Admit it or not. I prefer the Solargraph. For a little MORE uniqueness...like the all black. my only "take away or personal thought"...why call this like of watch "AquaRACER"?? Where does the "racer" come into play on a dive watch??? :)) Why not just f"Aqu Deep" or "Aqua D" " Deep Dive 200 "... :)) Don't know why the haters keep picking on Tag. Well I do know...just don't agree with their reasoning. So many more expensive Lux brands don't offer "better watches" 9build, features..) and rely on marketing e.g. Rolex. ..and don't bother to innovate or try keeping up with competition in including the std or latest tech...

It's like if you want a Seamaster but don't want the helium escape valve

Serious hate on this design. Looks bland and backwards. Previous iteration was all TAG. It wasn't heritage based with faux colors. It was a step forward in design for the industry that started in the early 2000s. They flattened things down. I'll probably still buy it if they can use this design at 41mm...

Here is what Tag Heuer needs to do with their watches. Remove the goofy word 'TAG' and just keep "Heuer" on the dial. Also put the word HEUER back on the crown and the buckle and remove that stupid looking pocket emblem. The name Heuer has the horology/race history behind it and that is what should be on their watches.

By the time the video ends , this Tag would have lost 33% of its value! Terrible brand
