The annual award was won by Ayoze Pérez last year for his sublime lob at Leicester City. It was the second year in a row that Pérez had won the trophy - he picked up the gold Puma boot for 2016/17 after finishing off a superb team move against Ipswich - and the third time in all, as he won the 2014/15 prize for an audacious backheeled flick against West Bromwich Albion.
Pérez is again nominated this year, for his goal against Brighton last month, but he faces competition from Salomón Rondón, who has three goals on the shortlist, Fabian Schär, who has been nominated twice, Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie.

Depends on whether you will be promoted or not, if you don’t get promoted Gayle would assure that you will be promoted next season. Can see the price of Rondon going up if you get promoted though!

My first choice would be Perez's header away at Leicester, but it's not even on the list! Failing that, Richie v Bournemouth. Not just for the strike, but for the timing & importance of it too.

Obviously we all love Fabian Schär's rocket against Burnley, and IMO it probably is the best..? But I really liked Rondon's first against Bournemouth, the cross by Kenedy was amazing which led to that bullet header, it's the sort of delivery Rondon thrives on. Also, the technique Ritchie produced for his goal against the Cherries was on another level!!

We haven't scored that many goals but those we did score this season have mostly been fantastic! The most satisfying goals to score are drop-kicks. They feel even better than volleys and that's why Ritchie's goal is my goal of the season!

Id definitely take a swap deal. Gayle isn't good enough for the Prem but is essentially the Agüero of the Championship, that being said, Rondon fits us perfectly so a swap deal would be ideal for both clubs.
