Blocked kicks are exciting plays because (1) they don't happen that often, (2) the ball could literally go anywhere off of the block, and (3) they could really be game changers.

As a Cowboys fan, it's at least nice to have some col highlights from this season, since we did so poorly in the playoffs (which is fine because I don't believe we were superbowl contenders anyways). Our defense and special teams did a complete 180 from last season and provided a ton of highlight worthy plays.

So even though it was "blocked" it still went past the line of scrimmage so it's treated like a normal punt, then the Dallas player #25 touched it turning it into a "muffed punt" and the Broncos player recovered it making it their ball again

The recieving team (Dallas #25) touched the ball past the line of scrimmage, so technically it is a muffed punt, and the kicking team can recover the ball and retain posession, continuing the drive.

A couple of the field goal attempts looked like the kick was low, that the kicker kicked the ball into the backs or heads of his own linemen.

Um- you CAN kick it again 0:55-- announcers, refs, etc- nobody knows anything in the NFL. That play counted. Apparently you can't throw it twice but you CAN kick it twice.

It makes you think, if you're on 4th down in or near the goal line. just go for it, because it's too easy to end up letting them score. Yo're giving up the ball either way

so i think i do. on a punt if the receiving team touches the ball past the line of skrimage but drops it or something and it gets picked back up by kicking team the kicking team keeps it. so since the punt was blocked but goes past the line and is touched by a dallas player but not kept by him when broncos come down with it they get to keep it

Basically it’s the same as a “muffed punt” once the receiving team touches the ball its live and if they other team can grab it than it goes to the kicking team

I think it would be awesome to be able to punt the ball at any time behind the line of scrimmage. get a quarterback that can kick, and it might be less risky to go for it on 4th. look for a pass, if nothing is there, roll out and punt.
