You KNOW there’s a problem when flopping becomes a weekly occurrence

I've been saying this for weeks now, but the NFL needs to start penalizing flops.

The amount of roughing the passer calls is absolutely crazy. The NFL should just be two hand touch now... The safeties are not allowed to hit a "defenseless" receiver, yet QBs keep on throwing hospital passes and the DBs are punished for horrible decisions.

As an eagles fan, that was very obviously a false start on our side. I normally don’t even see what false starts these refs are flagging but even I saw that.

That roughing call on Dak in the end zone was not roughing, but it’s a nice play on Dak’s part knowing they are flag happy in those situations

I havent really watched an NFL season since Tebow was on Denver, so I consider myself a pretty casual watcher. So, in my opinion all these Roughing th Passer/ flags on QBs as well as the QB slide and expecting Defense to stop on a dime are so lame. It also seems like some players are starting to flop as if they are playing soccer.

Coaches need to be allowed to challenge the Refs on EVERY call.

Truth - I am a Cowboys fan. Shawm Hochuli is one of if not the worst White Hat in the NFL. The only reason he is an NFL official is because of his dad who was an outstanding official. He missed so many calls it is impossible to understand. They say that teams can send in tape of plays and ask why a penalty was called or not. Dallas should NEVER send in any tape on Parsons. All it does is allow the other 31 teams to see what WILL NEVER BE CALLED and they know what to do. The other officials see the same thing and are like "well those guys didn't call that on him so I am not either".

Its not the refs its the NFL, they are changing the rules to make the games more offense oriented and this is a result of that. It all come down to more entertaining games and more money for them.

Rule #1, Quarter Backs should be equipped with FLAGS! That way they can be marked down without defenders touching them. AND rule #2, NO contact after 5 yards. Those two rule changes will illuminate many of these penalties.

If that hit by the Colts on the Falcons, which is well inbounds, is considered a penalty, then they need to change the name of it to "necessary but unwanted roughness", instead of unnecessary roughness. The NFL must be encouraging the refs to make horrible calls every week. That is the only explanation. When the refs go over the games each week for review, one would think that they would be getting better at making calls on the field, but there is absolutely no improvement at all.

The first one was delay of game because the defender thought Jalen fumbled, so he grabbed the ball which didn’t allow the eagles to spike the ball. It’s like when the defender won’t let the offensive player get up to spike the ball. I don’t really see how it’s a bad call

I may be on the wrong side here, but that first clip I instantly thought it was a delay from the giants. You can’t just hold the QB down like that, even though Jalen should’ve run out of bounds. He still was wrapped around him, and stayed on for a few extra seconds when he probably shouldn’t have. I could be wrong though, just instantly rang out to me when watching live.

I think more things need to be reviewed since the refs have trouble seeing things at full speed. I think most people can agree we are tired of watching instigators and floppers rewarded for starting things and acting. Maybe it is time to review personal fouls. There is a an enormous double standard on offense and defense. Offensive players lower their heads or fall to create helmet contact all the time with no call but the defense is expected to always avoid this contact. In addition the bar is too high for changing a call. I had no doubt live and on replay that Bobo caught the ball in the Seahawks game. His hands were under the ball with control. Did the refs forget that the ball can touch the ground if you have control? Another example of a stands call that should have been overturned was the fumble in the Patriots vs Broncos game where the Broncos player recovered the fumble but a Patriots player took the ball away after the recovery.

Soon, the NFL will have to change the rules as to what roughing the passer is because right now, even a two hand touch is called roughing the passer, so we can't use that, maybe flag football?

There used to be a stat called “QB knockdowns.” It was a measure of how the QB was being pressured. Like hurry ups or out of the pocket. But now those knockdowns are roughing calls. What the heck is going on?

There should be an independent review of officials at the end of every season. If they get less than 95% of calls right they should be let go.

If they are going to penalize defenders for hitting a QB on the sideline but inbounds, then when a QB heads for the sideline then cuts back in...should be down on the spot, and penalty for unsportsman like conduct.

6:56 I gotta be honest here, I still can't believe Romeo Doubs' 'catch' stood as called. Obviously, the ball can touch the ground as long as it doesn't move and you still have firm control over it. But in this case, I can't really argue with Dean Blandino here. Even though Doubs used his left hand in an attempt to maintain possession, it still popped out. So that kinda is a bad call, so to speak. Nonetheless, congrats to the Packers for that nail-biter of a win over the Panthers. Hopefully our shitty defense will play better against the Vikings, especially considering they're stuck with Nick Mullens the last two games of his season.

N.F.L. Needs to Implement a general referee the ones up in the booth who can review the replays on any given play or call, That way these referees making bad calls can be overruled especially in crucial situations of the game. this year alone we've seen hundreds of calls from referees that seem to actually be paid off so the NFL needs implement some changes to the game to the game and this probably would be best option to make a general referee in the booth that can review the replays like was said in previous statement ...
