This music cover of Marina and the Diamonds is my attempt to say «thank you» to the person whose music saved me many times in my life. When I had to sleep in motels and apartments with holes in the walls, while passing exams at the university. When I got kicked out of my house because I made my coming out as a gay. And 10 years later, when the war started, when I was absolutely devastated and cried in the subway, Marina came to the rescue again. This song is an attempt to say the words that I cant say loud at the street of Russia, cause I'm afraid, cause I’m not safe and I can't run away. So that song for me is attempt of trying to believe that one day everything will be fine. And show all over the world - here is a plenty of russian people who wants only peace.

Nicky and the Rhinestones - is a music band led by Ilya Mirov (Nicky Jamm) - russian lgbtq+ activist and drag queen. Nicky is the only one of a kind person who openly speaks about his life as a gay man and drag queen in Russia where it strictly prohibited. His music is one more step to show not only for an ordinary people in Russia, but for all over the world that queer people in Russia exist.
