Real Nightwish fans love all eras. When you only listened at Tarja and are skipping them since 2005 then you have never really appreciated Jukka or Tuomas or Marko Emppuetc you have never been a real fan. Real fans love all eras despite having a favorite singer

My sister loves Metal, and loves Nightwish, I held her hand and we listen to this song as she passed away losing her battle to cancer on November 11/19/2020. I will never forget this song or her. I love you Crystal, may you find rest. EDIT - I want to thank everyone for your kind words. I hope nothing but the best for all of you and your loved ones. Rock on my brother's and sisters of metal. We rock for thoughs who are no longer with us. 1 year had passed. Thank you everyone for your support. I miss you sis may you rock on in heaven.

I love Tarja. However, the best combination in Nightwisch is Hanko and Floor. Tarja = goddess of metal Floor = queen of rock, queen valkyrie. And there's another one, not from Nightwisch. Noora Louhimo, the queen of metal.

It's really awesome! Anyway, earlier, I'd asked if we have other bands like this? I said that I don't know about country, but I like some 'club/trance' (ex. Laura Aqui - After Dark or any Emma Hewitt). Elsewhere, someone mentioned Retrowave music, but that's more '80s' style.

Twenty years ago... in the year of 2004, I as a 14teen year old and the moon as my companion were heading home from a friend's place, during a practically snowy winter night. There were no lights on the street. It is hard for me to explain that almost magical feeling. Oh, I remember the feeling, feeling cold, feeling dark, and yet happy at the same time. Feeling like strolling through some dreamy wonderland, enjoying the sounds of snow crunching under my feet... Anyway, it was the midnight hour, so I wanted to reach my house as soon as possible. The house was located at the end of the village in a small town of Virovitica in Croatia. There was only a thick blanket of snow surrounding the house and far away... Finally, as I entered the house, I prepared myself an apple cinnamon tea, which is still my favorite to this day and a strong reminder of my childhood and Nightwish. I decided to turn on the TV, and the first thing that happened was that everything stopped for me when I heard her voice. Playing was "Wish I Had an Angel". It was mesmerizing for me. I was in a transcendent mode right then, the combination of Tarja and Marco singing with symphonic music was so aesthetic for me at that moment that it always reminds me of that snowy winter night. Little did I know that I had just encountered my favorite metal band and metal music from then on... Litte did I know that 2005 will be END OF AN ERA.... from then on there is no song or album that I haven't listened to... and the rest is history.... P.S. One thing I dearly miss so much or am sad about is not going to their concert while they were all together.

This song is my childhood. My mom always listened to nightwish in the car and I grew up with their music. It somehow makes me nostalgic right now listening to them again. Although I usually listen to very different genres, I still love their music and come back to their songs.

What's crazy is that Nightwish is good no matter who is singing for them. A lot of bands get complaints if the singer changes but I've listened to their whole discography and never found a bad song

Es mi preferida y con ella tengo los mejores recuerdos, pero reconozco que Floor ya era una pedazo cantante con After Forever (Reimagine es una maravilla) y con Nightwish son la combinación más hermosa, potente. Digna de una pedazo banda como Nightwish ❤️

Classic Nightwish! I love Marco's voice and this is one of the songs that showcases it best. It's such a great counterbalance to both Tarja's and Floor's. He actually SINGS, not growls (not that I don't like growls, lol). And Tarja is just her amazing self, but honestly, Marco rocks this hard.

Brilliant. I was fortunate enough to see Tarja and Marco live on stage at a smaller venue during the Once tour. Something like that sticks with you. It was phenomenal. A song which beat showcases Marco‘s awesome voice would be ‚The Islander‘ ... chills every time I listen to that.

This is Nightwish at their best - Tarja's voice with its operatic splendour but not the heavy accent of the early years (I seriously could not understand a thing) and Marko going for broke with the grit and growl in his voice.
