There are alot of misconceptions about Jokic. He's the best center in the league, better than Embiid, it's not debatable at this point in time. Also he's being framed as a 'terrible defender and a liability'. He shouldn't be viewed as a traditional shot blocking center. He has great positioning in the key to alter shots, also his recorded steals and his deflections (which is recorded stat) is one of the best in the league. He has uncanny ability to read passing lanes.

Seems like the US & European step back style is quite different. US style like Curry instantly create a space between shooter and defender, while European style like Jokic, Nowitzi is a more smooth, lesser space between. Not sure I’m right about that, as most European step back are performed by very tall players, and which a small step back shot requires a very high angle in the air to block
