The singing. The fresh instrumental takes on Nina's rhythms. The slow, dynamic camera movement through the Pantheon. The lighting, and art, and outfits. The perforating and grounding quotes. All of it, together, incredible!👏👏👏

This is beautiful. Nina Simone fought hard to be recognised as a leader in jazz and classic musicology. It’s beautiful to see future generations acknowledging her unique artistic and rebellious innovation. ❤This is beautiful!

It’s just not true, that blues and jazz are only born out of suffering and struggles of black people, that is such a strange and self-righteous way of looking at these beautiful genres of music. Blues and Jazz are born out of joy, curiousness, playfulness, yes and happiness as well, and the interaction and musical knowledge of white and black and other cultures. It would be rather dull if it only was born out of pain. Why not celebrate the musical artistry of black and white and other ethnic people and praise their musical expressions, whatever the motivation or source might have been, why only bin it down on the negative.
