It is awesome to see, that a lot of people still try to get their devices fixed, instead of throwing them into trash. The percentage of easy fixable devices is great. It is always worth giving it a try!

Yes. I agree, and the upside is, we don't fall into the trap of feeding the tech giants just like they want us too. Fix what you have before surrendering and handing over your hard earned money. Big tech don't really care about their customers. All they want is your money. Pure and Simple.

If I were inspecting by eye those new trace pads, I wouldn't be able to tell simply by looking they were not the original pads initially lost. Great idea!

Wow 😮 those tiny pads look really tricky to attach. Great video and as always a better than factory job. When I do repairs and I’m having a bad day or the repairs are not going right, watching you gives me the motivation to continue the hobby I love.

Nice fix. I was doing 3ds charge ports on ebay and they more often than not had pulled pads. I like the new pad replacements you did. Again great work here

This was the replacement pads that REWA was selling. I suggested few videos back. You have to use solder mask for keeping them stuck in the place to the board. It would be the better than factory experience. 👍

Also, you need to ask the factory to make the pad a little longer. If excess, it can cut the pad off.

I saw that kind of pads lugs but in bigger sizes, hard to work with (way more difficult on the size you're using), but i think those are useful. Thanks for share your work!

Those look like the replacement PCB traces I sent over -- very nice to see them in action by the hand of the master! In the demonstration video the manufacturer uses a tiny bit of UV solder mask underneath the new pads to glue them down. But maybe some day I can take some time off my day job and vacation in LA to come work in your shop for a few days. :)
