No, Colorado has to win. The final score is deceptive because USC could have won by three touchdowns easily. The Trojans let Colorado back in the game to make it more dramatic.

@@brandondyson7769 Shedeur is a system QB who played against an awful USC defense, and you can argue that he cost Colorado the game with his first half mistakes. Caleb Williams doesn't deserve a second Heisman for inflating his stats against these kinds of teams. The season doesn't start for him until he plays Oregon, Washington, etc. Quinn Ewers is proving his Heisman case right now against a Top 25 team, as he did against Alabama. Right now, my Heisman ballot would read: 1. Quinn Ewers, 2. Drake Maye, 3. Box Nix, 4. J.J. McCarthy, 5. Michael Penix Jr.

if they get real top tier D1 linemen they will contend. Till they do they will struggle BIG TIME with any top tier program. Bama and Georiga have elite skill guys yes, but they win every year cause they have 3 first round picks on each side of the line. They have some excellent skill guys though, and Shedeur made some impressive throws down the stretch when they opened the game up for him. First half was pretty much just screens and hitches

This was the perfect game for CU. All those recruits that were there have to be thinking if I was on this team,we would have won this game! Packed stadium rocking,celebs and NFL legends on the sidelines,the world watching. Colorado is looking like the place to be.

Im proud of him he made a mistake the first time time they put him in because he came up to rush the QB and the QB lobbed it over his head then after that cormani said no more he stopped throwing to his side for a while so cormani is locking up i just need him to keep showing up on meeting on time and watching film cp dont play about that he benched shilo in the swac bowl last year for stuff like that

Much respect for coach prime. Colorado isn't quite ready to defeat powerhouses like Oregon and USC yet. But they will get there under his leadership. He's turning Colorado into a respectable college football program before our very eyes. They are only going to continue to get better.

The Oregon and USC game showed how players' mentality and coaches can affect a game outcome. In both games I expected CU to fall and if they came within 14 points I would be impressed, this game with USC showed that; however the two freshmen that started today could have also been the factor.

@@knowledgebornunderstanding8826 I am neutral and did not attend CU. Moral victories do not count in the won-loss column. However, CU won a moral victory against USC. CU could have just folded when they were down by at least three scores, but did not. Looks like CU made positive adjustments on its offense. Special teams and the defense, especially the secondary, still need major work.

I'm impressed! Colorado needs to work on their slow starts, but USC is a top 10 school, so great game! Buffs need some speed on both sides of the ball, but I already knew this at the beginning of the season and knew it would hurt them when it comes to playing Big Schools but great game. If they can stay healthy and protect the QB, they'll win more games. I do see them losing 1 or 2 more games but that's ok because they already looking better than last year, congrats to both schools

USC was up 41-14 with less than a quarter and a half to go in the game. The fact that CU was able to make it a game speaks to the Buffs talent and grit. It also speaks to USC needing to improve dramatically on defense.

It wasn't a good game. Colorado never legitimately had a chance to win the game. Utah did the exact same thing to USC in last year's Pac-12 Championship Game. That USC defense is atrocious and so are the coaches. Against the real Top 4 (Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and Ohio State), Colorado would have been shut out and Shedeur's stat line would have looked horrendous. He's a system QB, and this is more than just adding a few linemen. Colorado has a lot of problems.

Impressive game by Colorado! Two turnovers lead to 14 points for USC. Had those mistakes not happened Colorado would be up by a touchdown with a little under 2 minutes remaining. I love what coach Sanders is doing with this program.

Two things can be true at once: 1. Colorado did a FANTASTIC job coming back in this game. Remember, they were without their two best defensive players (Hunter and Sanders) for this game. 2. USC is NOT a top 10 team. As is the same story with any Lincoln Riley team, their offense is great, and their defense is not.

Thanks for catching my typo, I meant their two best defensive players. Also, I'm a diehard Oklahoma fan. We used to have Caleb and Mario Williams, as well as Riley and Grinch. It was always painful seeing Oklahoma's explosive offense barely win close games because the defense was nowhere near as good. Now this is USC's problem (just like it was last year). Riley is notorious for having an explosive offense and not so explosive defense.@@skibbyb

If you look at the team stats, it's almost like loss for USC, with The Buffalos getting more rush yardage by far, more TOP, and more 3rd down conversions. They really showed their resilience in coming back at the end of the game. They just had no answer to Caleb WIlliam's pinpoint passing.

The Colorado buffaloes 🦬 improvement from week 4 to 5 in strong 💪. 41/48 in another game were they were 21 point underdogs nothing to be ashamed of. Prime let the haters hate. CU has seven chances to win three more games this season. They need three more victories to become bowl eligible. It just so happens that in its remaining schedule there are currently three teams not ranked in the top 25 that CU has to play. Bowl eligibility would make this team wildly more successful than the team of last season.
