Unpopular opinion: If we take every aspect of every player and put it under a microscope, Cristiano Ronaldo would be the best in nearly every category of futbol/soccer (those who want to argue with the spelling, do your research). For certain, the most complete player, for certain the best player, for certain someone who would and should have been the most decorated player in the history of the game. Only thing he lacks to our knowledge is defending skills, corner taking, and goalkeeping. Not saying he can't defend nor that he's not a good defender, even, but it's not the position he plays in yet he's still good. The amount of corners we've seen him take is under 10, heck, 5, 3, u get the point, and he knew he likely wouldn't take more so he probably didn't feel the need to train in them but who actually knows. Same with being a goalkeeper. I know Messi fans like to call out people who speak like this, but again, it's an opinion. Only reason I feel this way is because R9 who I put above Ronaldo, same like Maradona, and even Pele, had injuries, lied about achievements, and had many controversies during their careers. Rumors exist that Ronaldo is on roids etc. But I highly doubt. However, nothing concrete has gone about as yet and I don't doubt Messi's natural talent for a second but place him below the above 3 mentioned as well as Cristiano due to the hormones he took that nobody seems to be mention ie increased stamina, strength, etc. I believe Messi would've been out for injury long ago and been a name that fell too quickly but nonetheless, all of these are why I place Ronaldo as being the greatest, among other reasons, or rather why I think those who were greater aren't as great. Longevity needs to be taken into account because if not, what good is me saying R9 is better than Cristiano. Also, I always tell people you can't change reality so don't hate guys. I'm a Ronaldo fan though more than Messi although I like both. I do feel Messi had it 15x easier however, apart from being 'lucky' - left-footed, small, hormone treatment, barca most his career with amazing players to guide him etc. U get the point

I really feel that the injury in 2014 robbed us from watching Ronaldo the artist for atleast a few more years. Dont get me wrong he has been fantastic after that but not really the same
