Love the fact that it sounded like the Dean Dome in there. Hubert Davis' early season strategy of getting these guys on the road against top opponents is beginning to pay dividends. They took their lumps early, but they learned how to tough games out. Now they are battle tested and ready. When they get punched, they punch back, hard. I like their chances going to the final four.

Carolina's bench really came up big on both ends of the floor in this game. The bench didn't score a lot of points, but they did make some timely baskets and Trimble's defense was a huge asset. This was a good team win for the Heels, but Cadeau needs to show up big in LA or it will probably be a short stay. In the two games in Charlotte, he had a total of 6 points, 7 assists and 4 turnovers.

Still irritated that Michigan State was even selected, because the Big Ten always gets more teams selected than any other conferences despite proving itself to be the weakest Big 5 conference. I understand that Michigan State made it to the sweet 16 last year and beat a mediocre team from another sorry conference (SEC) in the opening round.... but one can't justify the selections by "they made the sweet 16 last year" and "Izzo gets his team ready for tourney" because many other bubble teams would do the same if they get 27 straight attempts. Surprised that big Ten conference will probably get 2 out of 6 teams in sweet 16...though their seeding of #1 and #3 makes the sweet 16 appearance more than likely....The two best conferences have always been...and continues to be ...the Big East and ACC, yet Big Ten teams are always selected over these proven best conferences. Again, there will be NO Big Ten teams in Final Four despite having the most opportunities for National Championship. The other point is that the SOS is really based on pre-season ranking, thus overrated conference like Big Ten will always show high SOS.
