While some pro-Russian OPZZ members lose their mandates, get arrested, exchanged, and their assets are transferred for state benefit, others continue to attend parliament, vote, and increase their already multimillion-dollar fortunes. Nestor Shufrych, a close associate of Medvedchuk, remains free despite his pro-Russian views, an incident involving photographing a checkpoint, not recognizing Russia as an aggressor, and other things that should raise concerns but somehow don't affect the politician.
In addition to still holding a mandate, Shufrych also owns thousands of square meters and hectares of land throughout the country, including Crimea. These assets could benefit the country if they aren't transferred to new owners. Find out more in this episode by Maksym Opanasenko.
