I’ve been an Ohio state fan my entire life. This was the first season since JT Barrett that I use to be a little nervous every drop back. Mccord was just a terrified player, he rushed everything, and his footwork was terrible.

McCord wasn’t Ohio State standard - losing Ewers to the portal & not having someone to follow Stroud hurt. We were a QB away from winning it all this year. A year of Howard and then it’s Air time

McCord had -65yds rushing on the entire season. To say his footwork was horrible is an understatement. Will Howard had almost 400yds and 9tds rushing. With the weapons in the backfield and on the edges and his ability to run the ball he has a chance to have a Heisman worthy season.

Every team knew McCord wasn't going to keep the ball on an RPO and would crash whoever was carrying the ball. With your QB's inability to run they can send that spy on all out blitz and with no pocket awareness he was taking sacks way too often. No I'll will hooe he has a great year in Syracuse but he's not elite level QB. We had Formula 1 race cars with a student driver.

The lowest I saw OSU was at #5. Averaged out at #4. The programs ahead of them had 28, 27, 25, 23 recruits compared to their 21. Good quality with a smaller class. Still have a couple of 4 stars they are looking at.

Kyle McCord had the misfortune of following CJ Stroud who should have won two Heisman trophies. The stats he put up were great for a guy who only took a few snaps last year .He was playing injured was having issues with his foot that he plants when throwing and it clearly affected his accuracy. He is a future star.

I agree with you to an extent. The only reason he left was because Ryan Day wouldn’t guarantee him a spot as the starter next season. If he doesn’t want to be challenged and just wants a guaranteed spot rather than earning himself a spot, then he shouldn’t be our qb.

I’m excited for Air Noland. 1) The name 2) May end up being better than Dylan Riola and all the other QBs in this sick class. It seemed devastating at the time when Riola transferred out, but that dude will transfer at the drop of a hat, or someone drops a pass. I’ll take Air all day.

Personally i think OSU dodged a bullet with Raiola de committing. He's changed high schools 4 times and now committed to 3 different colleges. Im super excited for Noland cant wait for the 24 season . Go bucks !!

As a Michigan fan I try to be as unbiased as I can when it comes to OSU because it’s always a good thing when both Michigan and Ohio State are great. To be honest I like what they are in terms of roster especially defensively if a lot of their 3rd and 4th year guys decide to come back and even offensively they’re solid. Their big question mark going into next year is obviously QB but I think they have some issue at RB, it’s weird because Henderson is very talented and I think Trayanum was just as good but they could never find consistency in their run game and I think it was the play calling not letting their backs get into rhythm, I’m interested to see how this team looks next year offensively, I could really see them leaning into the run game more than they have at least.

Thank you for being unbiased bro! I agree with everything you said. Wish we were able to get Trevor etinine from Florida but he didn’t want to wait for Trey’s decision. Biggest weakness overall imo though is definitely linebacker. It was a big weakness this past year and we have a lot of inexperience.

Trey and dallan bout to be the best 1 2 punch...... You being a ttun fan you cant speak on our team....... Trey one of the best rbs in the country (more yards with 4 less games than corum last yr) and Dallan is a monster...... Every game he played he got down...... QB room is solid........ With the cats coming back Ohio State making a National Title run next yr And with the Wrs we got in that room ain't no way we're just leaning on the run....... Tate, Embuka, J Smith, Graham, Inniss, Rogers etc all in rotation......... This offense is about to be electric!!!!!!! The defense will only be better yr 3 under Knowles....... You can say ur unbiased but as the rival you have no idea what ur talking about with Ohio State

we should have hartline ACTUALLY call plays, and when we get into a rhythm running the ball, DONT STOP IT! that’s something Day couldn’t understand all of last year. For example, in The Game last year, first drive of the second half, we ran the ball 8 times for a quick touchdown. We stopped running it after that for no reason. Bad play calling, along with a skeptical offensive line, we’re our biggest weaknesses. Then there’s also Honda playing quarterback, with 2 of the top wrs in the nation, struggling to put our offense in top 30 in the nation. We were definitely an extremely flawed team, though I feel as day will fix the play calling issues (he better), our QB issue has been solved, we’re returning tons of talent. Only thing we’re missing is some more offensive lineman, however with our previous years’ returning, they should be improved. Hope for a good year next year, and a good game vs. ttun. Thanks for being unbiased

I loved Olave, but he just isn’t. Harrison may not have had the total numbers since he left early but he’s one of the best WRs to come out of college ever. As a draft prospect he is right there with Megatron, Larry Fitzgerald, and Julio Jones. He’s a freak of nature who seemingly has no weakness in his game. They just don’t make guys like him very often.

I'm a huge Buckeye Fan!! And just don't understand why we are not playing better with the talent we have. McCord was definitely not the answer. Throw out the Missouri Game and we had the best Loss of the year in CFB! We will be back with all the returnings with a chip on their shoulder I hope. The QB room is loaded now, need a better Coach there. Our offensive line Has to get better. Everywhere else is Loaded and ready I believe!!! Go Bucks!

I laugh at everyone trying to figure out where our Buckeyes finished in class ranking. Excuse me but the 24 class isn't done til Feb and they gave just added a couple more 5 stars to the class and could add a couple more before national signing day. Just sayin

#3 recruiting class, and talent wise OSU was widely known as the most talented team this year. Ryan Day let OSU down heavy and Marvin although probably going to NFL, hasnt officially said

Easily the most talented team. But you need a good qb to win it all. And if you don’t have a good qb they need to be mobile at the very least (see Stetson). McCord was average and anything but mobile.

Ohio State always has excellent talent, but the team has always played soft especially in big games against great talent. I feel they play to many patseys in the Big Ten would love to see them go to the SEC along with Michigan, the better the teams are they play the better they will play consistently.

McCord was a 5 star QB and Marv was a 4 star barely top 100 recruit. They already had the #1 WR in the class in Egbuka. It may seem like McCord was recruited to get Harrison now, but that’s just not really true.

As of today, Jan. 16, 2024, it looks like the kid from Kansas State has the most game experience, has a rocket for an arm, can, and will, run the ball, is big and strong and fast enough, and is not injury prone like Devon Brown. The Kansas State transfer has a higher and immediate upside. He will be the starter and there will be some packages for Brown, but Brown cannot be depended upon because he seems to be too frail. Just my observation. Think about it. We've NEVER seen him play four consecutive quarters without getting hurt and having to leave the game.

⁠What rating would you give Ryan? Maybe 3.5 is a bit low but cant move him much higher than a really low 4 til he wins more against teams with equal talent (especially that game at the end of November).
