*People keep saying three things: 1. Why did I change 's to 'is' in this video? 2. Did I steal this content? 3. Dhl is a real company!* 1. Apostrophes are not used for plurals in English; an apostrophe followed by an S occurs in two contexts: Possessives - e.g: this is Bob's car Contraction of the word 'is' (or sometimes 'has') - e.g: What's the time? (= what *is* the time?) or: The cat's in the cradle (= The cat *is* in the cradle) Obviously neither of these use cases reflects the actual intent of the scammer, who merely misused apostrophes. And of course I am not _correcting_ the scammer, but mocking them. 2. No. I did not. Observe the FAQ: ukposts.info/have/v-deo/mmGCbaiesaxqu4k.html 3. No. Dhl is not a real company. DHL is a real company.

@Johan The reason why it shows two different dates is because the email on the screen was sent on a Tuesday, but then he sent a followup email a few days later on a Friday. Presumably, the screenshot was taken after the whole scam adventure was finished, which is why the “You replied on Fri 19/07/2019” appears at the top. I’m not entirely sure what this feature is meant for, but I assume it’s for organizational purposes to let you know which emails you have or have not replied to.

Those damn scammers. These joke videos have inspired me to start an online "anti-scammer" insurance company. For a "one time" fee of $100 ( U.S.) I will pray that a scam never happens to you. You can pay me the fee via a gift card of your choice.

My friend once got an email scam. His first reaction was to pick a random word and explain his necessity for it - he insisted for 3 emails about how he “craved” a new microwave. Unfortunately, the Norwegian study seems to have ended early and my friend never got a microwave.

If there was an army of identical stormtroopers anti scammers out there doing those stuff for youtubers, the good part is that scamming people would get more and more annoying bc no one would know it is a real person able to be robbed, or someone pretending and farming content. There's AI's being made to troll scammers and waste their time in almost real phonecalls, looping procedures like and elderly lady not knowing the pc, and stuff like that.

They do that to confuse your email's spam filters. Because they're sending the same thing copied and pasted to a bunch of people. If they jumble up the fonts it's harder to recognize

I mean, just act confident enough and many situations will resolve. Also, the scammer will not be subject to humiliation etc, with acting cocky / confident, like we would IRL, because it's in India and it's online. No recourse, so doesn't matter how you act. Perfect strategy, terrible moral!

It does happen. An old lady at my church lost her life savings of $250,000 to an e-mail scam. Also, my stepfather still falls for these things, even after having compromised multiple bank accounts. It blows my mind how many people think there are just kind souls out there giving away money.

I loved it. I thought I had fun with scammers but you are a pro. I wish I could get to companies representatives instead of talking to a machine. You used to be able to hit 0 or say representative and the call would reach someone. Now it is at least 45-60 minutes to talk to anyone. Great job and thanks for sharing. Jeff

I received one of these saying she was a marine in Kuwait or somewhere and had millions she had to get out of the country. Wanted to send it to me for safe keeping or I could invest it in a business venture for us both. I said I was very keen and excited because I had a business idea and needed capital. You know Elf on a Shelf which has been such a success? I want to create ferret on a shelf. A few emails went back and forth, her being happy I am going to cooperate and trying to steer the conversation round to money, me constantly going on excitedly about our imminent ferret on a shelf business. Eventually she relented and had to ask, why a ferret? I didn't reply. Let it bother her forever 😂

Nicely done video. The last time I replied to a scammer (email) I had two right in a row from entirely different addresses. I gave each the other's email address, stating the handoff was to my personal assistant. I also asked to be copied on each communication since I needed to keep tabs on my assistant's progress. This actually worked for a few days, each was pretty confused. Quite amusing.

@@Eusong That's exactly what I would have done. Then I would have shown the back...with the tape still over the numbers and letters. And then, used Photoshop to blur out the numbers and letters to make them just illegible enough to prevent being read...after redeeming the cards.
