@@jerryb1234 If a dog isn't stimulated enough he's going to find outlets for that energy that may seem destructive to you but are totally natural to them. Nobody to blame but yourself if you don't take care of your pet properly and they rip up your stuff.

I love how dogs, after doing something wrong, will almost universally either A] hide/cower because they KNOW they're in trouble, or B] just sit there and wag their tail like "who, me? Nahh, I'm a good pupper!"

As many probably know, dogs tear things up or make a mess out of boredom. If a dog is left for periods of time with nothing to do, it will find something to do. The dogs in this vid have some hilarious appearances when called out on their destruction.

You're right but this kind of behavior could also be caused by a lack of exercise which is very common. Especially for a very high energy breed like a boxer.

@@marvech9830 Or it could be something almost every puppy big enough to do it, does. Sometimes it really is just the human's "fault" for leaving a thin-skinned cushion full of polyethelen stuffing where the dog can get it. I've had a labrador pup tear apart an entire 12-pack of toilet paper because 1) I bought the paper-wrapped kind and 2) I left the pack in the hallway for FIVE MINUTES to make a sandwich and by the time I thought "hang on where's the dog?" and noticed a sort of rustling, ripping sound... it was all over. (On the plus side it was proof we were right to "puppy proof" everything else in the house - electrical wires, poisons on bottom shelves even with cabinet doors, completely block access to the laundry etc... and a reminder to never put any shopping on the floor while she was teething! She lived 13 years BTW.) Now, 6:45, THAT'S some problematic home-alone destruction right there...

Yes, you can’t get mad at them when they have that precious look on their face . Anytime my dog did something wrong, instead of chastising Her , I would just have to hug her & just tell her “ that’s OK baby, mom is not mad at you” just the thought of stressing her would stop me from chastising her. I guess that’s why all of my pets have been spoiled.

@@redfailhawk - I'm one of those rare people who loves them both. They're definitely two different types of relationships, but both are pretty rewarding in my opinion!! One day my cat will jump on some counter or ledge or mantel that CLEARLY doesn't have enough room for his giant butt, resulting in quite a few knocked over, even broken things. The next day he'll try a different leap, and end up falling straight down to the ground like the coyote in Looney Tunes LOL!! The comedic value of that makes us even in my book haha!! 🐈😸

While I might not be quite as comforting as you toward them in that exact moment, I still usually only let out a sigh, the length and volume of which depends on the level of carnage in my house lol, followed by some sort of sarcastic comment, like "Great job, but you missed one of the couch cushions, that one over there is almost untouched" LOL.... A true story, after coming home one day to discover my dog had decided to assassinate the couch!! LOL!!

@B Koz If a dog is left for extended periods of time with nothing to do, they will find something to do. Layla found something to do. When people get a dog, they should first consider whether they will give the dog a happy and fulfilled life. They can't treat the dog as a part-time pet. They should also pick a breed which is in tune with their lifestyle. A boxer is an active intelligent breed. It needs exercise and mental stimulation. If a dog of that breed is locked in for extended periods of time with no company, it will become destructive out of frustration and boredom. Lack of discipline is not the problem. Lack of exercise and mental stimulation is the problem. Which is a mistake of the owner, not the dog.

tbh when a dog is so pretty. What I noticed is my dog always loves it when I do the things I like and relax, like when I game CoD or listen to some of my favourite bands like Delta Parole it feel like my dog is rocking out to the music together with me. Being a dog owner is one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life, if you can give your dog the time he or she needs you will learn something new about your dog every day.
