Mariah was my favourite skater , pure artistry, not trying to copy others or be someone else , there is something pure about her skating , only love and joy , not everyone needs a medal to be a winner, you won our hurts Mariah, love you from Greece ❤

Mariah Bell is (I hope) a symbol for what American skating can be for many years to come. She did not always win, but she ALWAYS exuded just pure joy for being able to skate. It was always a pleasure to watch.

That was so amazing. She was so expressive. I felt like she let go a bit more at the end after successfully landing all her jumps. You could just see her beam more.

Mariah was the most beautiful artistic and musical skater in the world for a few years but got very little credit for it. And physically she's both shapely and slender as a skater. A very healthy woman who I wish a lot of the skaters would look up to. Mariah also had great perseverance. Now that she's been retired the last 2 seasons it's a loss for figure skating.

I've watched a lot of cookie-cutter Russian routines lately, so it's refreshing to see a routine that actually seems original. I still prefer the Rufus Wainwright rendition, though. 😉
