It's cute, as least it's not political propaganda and fear spreading tactics the news is usually pushing. And they're probably showing it because If it's popular on the internet, which is a more relevant media and entertainment source these days vs TV they're going to hop onto it and try to get in on it's popularity. It's cool they interviewed the kid and mom so it's not just showing what we've already seen but getting some info on how they feel about their sudden internet popularity.
