I was in Vegas over Christmas of 95', and at the gift shop of the Mirage, they had a short film of Siegfried and Roy, and Roy was driving a white Rolls Royce Corniche, (the convertable) Roy was driving around the backyard of what i assume was their Estate, Roy had tigers in the car with him and Siegfried appeared on what was like a big porch yelling hello Roy and was to Roy and Roy was yelling hello Siegfried and waving as these beautiful tigers were being driven around (i assume the video was a short commercial for them?) 2 older ladies in front of me said "i wonder where their wives are? The women kept talking about how lucky their wives were. I just didn't want to burst their bubble, but i was having to keep my chucking down as the ladies talked about the lucky wives.

The KFC chips are called Pogs. They were collected in the 1990s and used for games.

This vlog gave me Christmas afternoon unwrappings at Grandpa's FL house, outside in the backyard, birds chirping, pink grapefruits and nectarines sliced open, soft peppermint sticks poked into fresh oranges from the yard's trees to 'drink' while gifting. Sweet vintage Balisong/butterfly knife! I’m a collector. That’s a 1980’s Japanese made import, before they were banned from importing them. Made by the Seto factory for the US company Taylor knives, hence the name stamp Taylor/Seto on the blade tang. This was the popular model “Manila Folder”. Nice solid brass one piece milled handles, with wood inlays. Glad you’re enjoying/using it. BTW, great interesting vid as always! 👍🏻

LOL when I was a kid I thought Hai Karate was "High Karate" as in doing karate while high. I was like, "Why would anybody wanna smell like that?" Bahahaha

Funny story about Pat Collins. My parents and another couple saw her in the 60’s and their friend got hypnotized while watching her at their table. They laughed so hard telling this story!! My parents were very hip in the 60’s!

The Sahara closed and was rebranded as SLS, which was a bit of a flop. It is now SAHARA Las Vegas and we drove past it a couple of weeks ago. My husband and I are locals here.

I say that because as a child of the 80s, I would give anything to reunite with my peewee doll. (I was given one by my parents for Christmas 1987. It was the tall one that “spoke” when you called a string on his back.… My mother is a very sweet and loving human being… However, she believes that if you hold onto anything you’re considered a “hoarder” 😢 so I’ve “lost” all my pictures and treasures throughout the years. 😫💔. Although in 1983? My classmates and I and my teacher buried a time capsule filled with 80s treasures like a little ET doll… We also wrote letters and put them in a bottle… All the bottles were thrown into the sea, which to be honest, to be more accurate. we’re thrown into a stream by my house. looking back? I thought it was a sweet idea. I wonder if anyone ever found it?

In the 1970s the Vagabond theater was an art house theater playing classics only, kinda like TCM before TCM saw 39 steps, Mildred Pierce, Hitchcock and other classics w my dad, rt next door and part of the building that was originally the place on your match book was La Fonda a mariachi music restaurant that had live mariachi music well before that was popular outside of Mexican culture. Saw bus loads of Germans Japanese getting their share of music drinks and what not. So google vagabond theater in Los Angeles and you’ll find chapter 2 of what was Vagabond. Keep up great work..Ate you ever gonna do HElter Skelter again in LA, went to Tate house many times as a teenager and as an adult in early 90s spent a few nights as my friend was house sitting for Altobelli, totally serene place and drop dead view..later accidentally came into contact w several Manson original diehards and newer ones ..visited Carriage Bohtique before it was remodeled like 6 years ago …endlessly fascinating case and you always present it so respectfully…Toured LaBianca house before Filipino family bought it in 90s anyway keep on keeping on ..know way too much to say but appreciate your historical retelling of all history
