The first hatchling at the 2024 Cornell Red-tailed Hawks nest has had a busy first 24 hours, going from wet, splotchy, and hungry only minutes after coming out of the egg yesterday to dry, fluffy, and hungry in a day. Big Red steps aside and provides a great head-on look at the youngster as she feeds the nestling, and the young bird is noticeably stronger and more steady than at yesterday's first feeding.
