A few years ago I was in a crowd or about 5000 people getting ready to run a race. After a short speech from a local celebrity, a woman on the podium started to sing the National Anthem. Hats came off, hands on hearts, everyone turned towards the nearest flag. About 15 seconds in, the speaker system failed. A couple of seconds later, the crowd of runners picked it up and finished the song. It was incredible. Makes my eyes sweat just thinking about it.

Gggg next year will be 200 years since my dads side of the family left Ireland for South Africa, 1820. My mom was born in Dublin and all her family are in Dublin, so I could move back, no problem.
