There are definitely opportunities to unequip your weapon to conserve durability, either by not having a weapon at all, or by swapping to a weapon who's durability you don't care about.

@@jackkimball521 Yeah that's true. There was an opportunity for that in the video actually! At the point where he equipped the Sapphire Rod (or whatever that item was called) he could've just killed the enemy with no weapon and conserved its durability that way.

There's a red mark on my forehead now after watching this. 2000iq plays determining mimics, 5iq plays determining combat choices.

@@xaviersavard6343 the symbol combination of != is used in programming to denote "not equal" as unicode symbols usually aren't included in general syntax.

Well you can also reach that conclusion with logic. If a black chest says a black chest is a mimic, then it can't be a mimic, since that would make the statement a lie. It would be in contradiction with itself.

Introduction to confused chests: "I am a mimic"

It seems like it might happen in the "Confuse" mode, where there is gonna be one confused chest that is lying but is not a mimic

yea it was not. Kukri was better than his currently equipped weapon that is why it said +4.. however he had an even better weapon. It is always good idea to equip the best before going shopping. Weapons and Armor are gear and they indeed do not show up in your consumable items.

Hah yea! Took him 35 minutes for this one though but he is smart surely he can do it :D. Doubt is the one i find confusing and confusion i just find a bit harder because of an extra liar in every puzzle.

@@melon_grove5694 doesn't it apply only if the box is telling on itself? If for example a red box says "there's at least 1 mimic among red boxes", then it logically be a mimic, since a mimic always tells a lie, and if it was a mimic, it would be telling truth, which mimics can't do.

​@@Excludos middle one + 2 actual mimics, there is no lies from other boxes in that case, so there could be 3 mimics and it was 50/50 guess

@@Excludos It is possible. If mimics are in the middle middle, middle right and bottom right everything checks out. The top 2 are safe and that is another solution that he missed making it 50/50 ( or something like that depending on how likely 3 mimics are compared to 2 mimics in random )

​@@Excludos you're assuming that the right one is a mimic and then that it tells true. If the right one is a mimic - it lies, so you have not 5 but 3 mimics because top 2 are safe

Actually there's pretty sound logic to this one. The top two chests are either both mimics or are both telling the truth, if we assume the top two boxes are both mimics, then bottom row black chest is lying making it also a mimic, bringing us up to three mimics making the middle chest a mimic bringing us up to four mimics, that's not possible. If we assume the top two chests are not mimics then middle row right chest is a mimic because it's lying about the top row meaning we have one mimic in the red chests making bottom row black chest a mimic as well giving us exactly to mimics making the rest of it true

@@michaelness5606 well @Excludos deleted his comment so I guess he agrees as well ^^. So yea definitely possible that the 2nd option where top 2 are telling the truth and the midle midle, midle right and bottom right are mimic stands. Did not see anyone disputing this yet :).

@@michaelness5606 yeah but if the red chest in the middle were a mimic along with the right and bottom right, that would be three, making it a lie It fulfills its own statement either way; if it’s telling the truth it makes sense, but if it’s lying it would also make sense. All we know for certain is that it’s always the mimic on the right and bottom right

i think you are correct. if middle middle, middle right and the bottom right are mimics all 3 are lying. Seams like a valid second solution. So 50/50 indeed he lucked out.

Yea.. interesting idea but GUT seams to just be what a translator uses as opposite word for hunger. Satiation basically. Your idea stands nicely until the point gamezone pointed out that eating increases it at which point it kind of gets weak. Shame i like the idea otherwise :D.

True :). They definitely could have been. He got lucky :D. There is a very subtle and important difference between exactly 1 ( there is 1 mimic ) and 1 or more ( a mimic / 1 or more ). I also wish he did not edit out all the struggle that is the most fun part to see how people think and stumble :D and retrace steps back and forth until everything falls into place but I am sure there are also people who appreciate that videos are not to long.

I’m assuming that at these dungeons the chests are gonna say things like: “the chest on the right is a robber”.

@@philipgarritsen5162 It does, some that I've found say something like "there is a/no robber among (color) boxes" in the robbers dungeon

@@philipgarritsen5162 yea the chests will claim things about both mimics and robbers giving you less hints on average for each so its kind of tricky. It might be the toughest dungeon overall since very often there is not enough information to do anything smart but there are ways to dissect it. Robbers actually only steal 100 gold so it is totally worth to open all the safe boxes if you know where the mimics are even if you do not know the location of robbers. you still keep all the gear and get a bonus for opening boxes. my first finished robber run i left way to many boxes unopened and it was super close. Numbers is basically like a minesweeper with 3x3 field and while most boxes say a number of mimics around them the middle one always ( and sometimes 1 more ) says a normal statement like usual. In confuse there is always exactly 1 extra liar compared to what you would see on standard. So for puzzles with 1 mimic 1 confuse will be added which always lies but is like you say safe to open, making 2 lairs in total. For puzzles with 2 mimics there will be 3 liars total. Cheers!
