Upgrading from 10t, would have waited another year but I really miss having a zoom lens as I mostly take portrait shots. The alert slider is also useful although I've gotten used to having a widget on my home screen as an alert slider

This is pretty close to the upgrade I'm considering: I have a OnePlus 9 and I'm looking to go to a 12r. Its probably a similar jump since you are going from a 9 Pro to a 12.

Second one plus device after the open and I recommend 100 percent. Kept my s23U and didn't upgrade and bought the OP12.

Love my OnePlus 12, fantastic phone. I actually have it as a backup phone right now. I also use it when I want to go hiking or camping and to the beach because my main phone is a OnePlus open and you know you can't get no dirt in that poor thing.

Great video. You covered all the important points. Oneplus 7 pro was my first oneplus device and last. Oneplus really ruined the software experience during that time and had lots of bugs. So I gave up on oneplus. Right now I'm using nothing phone 1 and I might upgrade to oneplus 12.

Ordered the 12, can't wait to see how it performs. I'm upgrading from the 7 pro, i have no issues with it other than the degraded battery life.

Personally, I'm gratified they stuck with the curved glass. It is far more ergonomic and easier to hold.

Just bought it yesterday. I'm an iPhone fan boy since the iPhone 3. My first android phone will be the OnePlus 12, so my android experience depends on this phone. I will like/love it or hate it and going back to iPhone never looking back at android. This was the first phone that I felt was worth the move to try android. Finger cross!

I've actually been using the OnePlus 11 for the last year. I went to that from the OnePlus 8t. Truthfully, I really didn't care for the 9 or 10 series. I have really enjoyed using the 11 over the last year. Still, I decided to order the 12. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it's one of the best devices I've ever owned. I require two smartphones so, the 11 and the 12 will serve me well. On another note, I'm gratified that OnePlus decided to resist the tide and stick with curved glass. It is far more ergonomic and easier to hold. Moreover, it has a far more premium look than the flat glass Flintstone phones that seem to be all the rage.

Exactly, it makes them standout from the crowd and honestly I like the OnePlus design and so do others. That's why I'm guessing they stuck with it from the 11 to the 12.

@@Peak_Tech indeed, I'm hoping that's the case. I really don't think the marketplace needs another awkward slab phone with perpetual right angles. The same can be said about the large round camera bump on the back. There are those that don't like it but, I find it quite attractive. In addition, it looks completely different than anything else on the market. Brand identity is important. You can't have that if your product looks just like everyone else's. I'm also glad that they decided to continue their line of cases. I just purchased a sandstone bumper case for the 12 and I'm waiting for the aramid fiber cases to come back and stock. I already have both for my 11 and 8t. Of course, for heavier activities such as camping and such, I always utilize the Tudia Merge Grip. It too is quite attractive but, it offers far more coverage. To the point, the OnePlus cases are almost as big a Hallmark as the alert slider. Never turn your back on the things that help you get to the dance.

@@davidbrown6137 thank you, I appreciate that. However, I'm a little concerned that one plus is going to move away from the current design language. I just saw the new Nord Ace mid-range device and it looks like a flat slab. In addition, it also doesn't offer the rounded camera module on the back. The thing looks like an iphone. LOL

for anyone with a 10pro and 9pro, the 12 is not a pro. ip68 on 9 and 10pro, 80wat and 50wat wireless charging, 4k 120fps . the 12 is a rebadged 9/10pro. don't fall for the hype.

The 12 has much better cameras, battery life, screen, and the chip is both much faster and more efficient that the mess of the 888 and 8 gen 1 made by samsung

In a way you are going down from 4k 120. I had overheating issues when filming in that frame rate so not ideal. Camera quality on the 12 is still much better. More optimized with a lot of great upgrades, depends how you look at it
