Its why so many of us hate these parking lots with a track painted on them. There needs to be consequences for going off track. So gravel, grass or something abstract that can chew tires up

@@6Alexis8 its only paul ricard and its something that is quite minimal, again due to safety. What max did shouldnt be a possibility imo. Grass and gravel would definitely prevent it. There needs to be the fear of your race ending when leaving the race track. I get the whole safety side of things and cant fault them for trying new things but i personally feel this cant be the permanent solution.

Yes! Ocon is completely to blame. Gasly braked with plenty of margin but then Ocon just decides to squeeze across the whole track. Gasly only lost it because they were already deep into braking.

It's amazing how many people have this incident absolutely wrong. Ocon is completely ahead in the braking zone, takes the normal racing line (watch qualy if you're not sure where that is), Gasly has absolutely no reason not to expect Ocon there. He carried too much speed on the inside of a busy corner, the incident is on him.

I mean... he was driving a Ferrari, that wasnt very difficult to do

Not really. They were avoiding a collision. None of them gained a lasting advantage. Though I agree this is not the best track for racing.

@@reisanibal1 it's first and foremost a test track. loads of run-offs and the layout of the turns make it brilliant for that purpose but as a race circuit it's horrible
