We use to own the Ducks then they owned us for quite a while but now we are on equal footing which makes the past few games so close and competitive. Awesome game if your a dawg. He's from the Tampa area where my youngest brother was his quarterback coach. He was overjoyed yesterday seeing a former player of his shine! Great game on both sides, because Oregon didn't lay down...my heart goes out to the kicker for Oregon.

Best game in this rivalry. The Ducks going for 2 pts in the 1st quarter set a tone on how the day went. Dawgs up by two scores in the 3rd quarter, to lose the lead, seeing Penix hold his ribs after every throw in the 4th quarter yet still being accurate, and if the Ducks convert the 4th down with 2 minutes left…they would have won at Husky Stadium. What a game!

THE PROBLEM WITH ANALYTICS: did not remind Lanning that he is playing against Pennix, the nation’s top QB and Heisman candidate; that Pennix has at his disposal three NFL-ready wide receivers who’ve already burned the Ducks’ secondary; that repeatedly going for it on 4th down on the road against a #7 Husky team that was playing really, really well would be incredibly high risk; that the Husky fans were ‘fighter jet’ loud and rocking that stadium; that in games such as this, leaving points on the field is not an option.Those are all wild card factors that aren’t collated in a computer. Tough lesson. 😢

As a Uw fan, the offense needs to run the ball more, it was effective against oregon (minus the goal line stand) because in the two three and outs, Washington had six straight incompletions, if they had run the ball they might have had the ball longer or even scored more. The pass game is great but they need to run more to make the pass more effective

As a Huskies fan, I cannot tell you how nail-biting the last few minutes of this game was. It felt like an upset, even though it wasn't. Great game, by both teams. Go Dawgs! Destroyed those rubber-duckies!

The Oregon coach did say at halftime that his team was "an aggressive team". As seen in this game, that strategy can work against you when you are facing a team as good as the Huskies. It comes down to respecting the caliber of your opponent.

I would love for Michael Penix Jr to be drafted by the Seahawks. Gets to play in his own backyard, and he seems like he'd be a great fit to Pete Carrol and the offense he runs. This dude has such a fast, fluid, and accurate release. He's got great size, great reads, this young man is going to go far I think.
